You can all be furious about the result. All I see in the promo video is new stuff. Let's talk about that ?

Idk what to think and I doubt that this gig piece of what we seen will be released.
I've got the power to love to live I can't say it ain't right

I should stop now. Got stuff to do, but it is rather fun. I've got another TMBMTLTT mix up my sleeve . .
i liked the video, not a fan of the remix but that's all it is...a remix. There a lot worse remixes, and it would be frustrating if this was the only version we got, but it's not so people shouldn't be angry about it.

TMBMTLTT is different because his mix is the only version we have, and is the official release what everyone will hear, and it has some drastic things wrong with it.
Wow, this remix is bad. Like REALLY bad. I miss the "good" remixes from Hollywood Records

2.09 min what live show is it ?

Is it a live show? Looks like a soundcheck :)
But it could be one of the Rotterdam 1979 shows, possibly the second one, because on the first night Freddie was either in his leather jacket or naked?

So - after my first attempt I closed it after 30 seconds.
On my second attempt I closed it down after almost a minute.
Then I read you guys like the video so I forced myself to watch it and why I still think the remix is DISGUSTINGLY BAD, the video is fun to watch, the old footage which we've seen a million times before looks amazing in HD, not sure who did it but the transfers are beautiful. Also the upscaled footage looks pretty good. But still - we won't see any of the great footage so that's kind of disappointing.

I shouldn't have opened my big mouth before I heard the whole thing. All in all I though the mix was kinda interesting, although it could have been polished a bit more.
Absolutely awful lol! A complete dog's dinner. There's only one moment when he isolates Fred's vocal that sounds better than the "original" mix but .. bloody hell, that's like an amateurish Youtube mash-up. On a plus note, the video is really good :)

Bye bye William. Don't let the door hit you on the arse on your way out :)
"Queen is the only band in the world that can play so heavily that your nose bleeds, then offer a silk handkerchief to clean up with."
This shitty mix sounds like it belonged Hot Space.
Video? Pretty good compared to some of the shocking and boring montages we've had previously.

Audio? The guy clearly couldn't resist smothering awful shitty synths parts all over it which sound dreadful. He seemingly seems incapable of understanding dynamics and sound; Roger's drum sound on The Works sessions is probably his worst, but Brian's mix of this track makes it sound as good as it possible could - Orbit on the other hand sucks any life that did exist in the drums completely out, (after replacing parts of them with machines that is too).

However, the worst bit is when he pastes Freddie's verse vocals out of synch with the music so that it plays over the chorus; just sounds terrible and is just him trying to be clever and failing miserably.

How Queen have put up with such sub standard stuff against their name I'll never know.

The fact is, the video is much better than this mix, the better is release the video with the original mix
@advanced159 Wow, so on that day more songs were recorded, not only Tie Your Mother Down.... is it definitely from Brussels ? This show is one of the best from the Works tour.... I wonder how much was recorded that day and if it'll be released at some point...
It's kinda growing on me. But... that last part where Freddie and the backing is out of tune with one another or whatever. That makes me cringe.
Just found out that the video was put together/directed by a Rhys Thomas; a true 'placebo test' there in that we pretty unanimously like it, even before knowing he did it!

I suppose he could be working for free, if he's such a huge fan of their work as he claims?

Either that, or perhaps he's the third wheel with Brian and Kerry...
