I have to say that, to me, Brian did a better vocal take than Freddie on Leaving Home Aint Easy and All Dead All Dead.
As for Roger, well, it seems that Roger's vocals are perfect for the song he choose to sing. Still, I think Drowse is the best non Freddie-on vocals song in the entire Queen and Queen related catalogue.

Maybe something has to be saved for the movie release.
That made me smile, but then I realised you were being serious...
The tracks have been saved for an "anthology" release for the past twenty years, so I guess it's just as likely that they would be saved for a "movie" which isn't going to happen either.
At this point we're more likely to get a duet between Freddie and Adam Lambert (or the cast of WWRY) than any unreleased Queen tracks.

Yes Save Me is a 2014 remaster... Very good! as well as Somebody to love or Lily... and several others. New mixes are very good.
For more unreleased tracks, I also thing they are from The Works area, and it fit with Bri's interviews.
I think you're confusing remastering with mixing; Some are new edits (eg the the start of Play The Game has been removed), and a number of tracks have been remastered (though I don't know why), but none have been remixed.

On september 5 2046 - on what would have been Freddie's 100th birthday - the Queen Anthology with all demo's - rough cuts and unrealeased material will be released. This will be a 108-CD-set, also released on the new X-Ray DVD format.
It's just another 32 years to go. Hang on lads!

OK you got my lack of vocabulary (I'm French) or technique, choose the one you want...
I'm a little bit affraid with the fact B&R told W.Orbit to work on stuff... but after all it's maybe the only chance fans will ever get to hear unreleased tracks... And fortunately in one proper album. So I hope our dear Queen Archivist will find him more stuff to work in (the game area?,....)

Freddie's appearance ads a whole new dimension to the song. Apart from Drowse I cant think of a non Freddie vocal that wouldn't be better with him singing.. Sail Away Sweet Sister would have been a single if Freddie sang it.. IMHO
You can make a (limited) comparison between the studio and live versions of some songs like Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll and Rock It. Fred's versions imho aren't better than Rog's and I think that's because Rog wrote the songs for his voice and not Fred's.
e.g. Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll

Is Fred's live version of '39 better than the studio version? I like it but I still prefer the original. Same with Rock It.
Of course there may be songs where Fred would've sounded better but unless we hear them we'll never know. Would also be fun to hear the demo of sheer heart attack with Roger on vocals.

Shame that david richards aint alive. he was the alfa and omega for queen unreleased songs

Are there versions of Leaving Home Ain't Easy and All Dead All Dead with Freddie only on vocals ?
I think they´ll release some ANATO 40th anniversary related stuff. Maybe Hammersmith Odeon and ANATO Bluray audio disc . Don´t expect a live album with Adam Lambert unless his management thinks a good idea. Anyway without new songs it´s no really working as record.
The next time, please Brian, Roger, don´t call Orbit. His LMIYHA mix takes the song from The Works to Strange Frontier and it´s fine, but he ruined the vocals on TMBMTLTT.

And it's a shame that we didn't get to hear the Queen treatment of TMBMTLTT (FM only version). They wouldn't have to negotiate with Jacko estate about this one and it would be a great addition on the second disc of the deluxe version.

I like the Radio Ga Ga version with vocals by John Deacon more than Freddie's version
Yeah, I know it was before the song was released, but I think they played it that way at the '83 Uruguay concert..........

Nope. 39 and Long Away were perfect with Brian singing. Brian was a millionth of a singer that Freddie was, but he did vulnerability exceptionally well. Both songs needed the fragile quality Brian brought them, Freddie would;t have improved them. IMHO.
Yeah, perfect word for it.....vulnerability..........thats why I like Brians version of TMLWKY so much better.............I always thought Freddie sounded too uh..............un-vulnerable for the song.......(invulnerable??).............like I could almost imagine him smiling while singing that.............
