So what is the Magic tour show where Freddie is the best.................vocally..............hes generally not.................he sounds good in his lower range but not so good when he tries to hit the high notes...........................

The early shows have his range at his best:
Freddie was very strong on the first six gigs of the tour - singing powerfully with a clean voice for the most part. He got a bit weaker in late June (although still was pretty good), Zurich is his worst show on the tour, Slane is decent, Newcastle is pretty good, 1st Wembley is surprisingly good (considering he almost canceled the show), 2nd Wembley is a few steps down from that.
He got his voice back to good shape for the Manchester and Cologne shows (Cologne having some really good performances), the Vienna shows are good (especially the first night), Budapest is solid, Frejus is really surprising (in a good way), Barcelona is pretty good, Madrid is a bit weak, Marbella is rough, and Knebworth is quite good vocally (especially the first third of the show)!

Yup.
Even if Adam completely sucked on every other song - he's still the only living male singer who can do this song justice in the original key.

I was at Zurich both nights and I can tell you why his voice was affected: it was about 110 degrees in that auditorium. Under the lights it was probably unbearable...

How was the first night at Zurich? It's the only Magic Tour show that doesn't have a circulating recording - any info would be good!

Interesting. Thanks for the tidbit. That explains a lot.

I remember it was really hot during the day in Zurich - probably about 30+ degrees, so the venue was horribly hot despite the size of it...

Hot temperature + dry air in auditorium + Freddie running around = Dehydration (which can affect the voice).
Definitely makes sense to me!

My opinion I put his voice on the Magic and Works tour down to his illness which seemed like it was taking far longer to heal his voice I.e weakened immune system from his illness add the fact he was still drinking like a trooper and smoking forty a day which is not exactly taking good care of his voice etc his voice in 82 was incredible live, on Live Aid it was incredible.
Remember how his old foot injury would not heal due to his immune system etc which plagued him till he died well I think it also affected him in a similar way on those tours with his voice, I remember from one of the David Wigg interviews (box set) an interview in early 86 in his garden and him telling Wigg he couldn't do that stuff anymore as if he knew it was all effecting his voice and body, in the studio from The Mr Bad Guy album onwards his voice was still amazing and powerful so his voice was all still there and more except it's longevity during a tour etc.
I'm probably 100% wrong but it was just a thought worth thinking about.

Definitely not my view. Yay linguistic ambiguity.
I'd say he does just as many Queen songs justice as Paul Rodgers did, if not more.
