To you QZ is only the "Sharing The Music - Announce" section (and posting concerts when they've lost their value in the trading circles).

Everything else is worth zero, and everyone else is worth zero. It doesn't matter how much you participate in the actual conversation, or how much effort you put into constructing logical arguments.
The only thing that matters is how many shows you can share.

Incorrect. Most recordings are freely traded. Only a select few have some kind of rarity status that presents challenges in acquiring and spreading them. Or have you missed the threads on this very forum with people exchanging samples of videos and then someone joyfully posts the best of the bunch?

So you can breathe better now knowing that this section of the forum does exist from a place of openness and generosity. But I look forward to your pending spin on how this still somehow makes me (and all other music collectors) a bad person.

Even still, who's to say there isn't a sense of joy in posting a recording, no matter the circumstances? Where does this sense of entitlement come from whereby the process must be something that you agree with, and the person posting a recording must be undergoing a certain emotional experience that you agree with? Who are you to judge what their motivations are?

I don't have contempt for people who don't contribute. Most people here are kind and friendly and interaction with them is enjoyable.

All you know about music collecting is a few cherry picked tidbits you've read about on this site. I bet you're an expert on cooking too, because you've watched the chefs from your table at a few restaurants.

I've posted a few demo upgrades before, and one show (thanks to Marknow) that was previously not available here. Other than that, I have nothing to give - but Bob has helped me out with a lot of stuff, stood in my corner when I've needed him, and donated to causes I've supported.

You may not see eye to eye, but he's definitely not what you've portrayed him to be here, tero. The man has spent a lot of his time working on, and maintaining, the most comprehensive database of info on Queen shows on the web, contributes greatly to this forum, and tirelessly works on shares (whether that be upgrades, speed corrections, merges or completely new shares). And he still finds time to go out and entertain on that red special!

If he really looked down on us, there wouldn't be any of that. So what if there's a few gems he's "held back"? Should he not try and gain some reward for the time he's put in sourcing things? I don't see that his shares are us getting the things that longer have no value - I see that as progress. You need to hold back on some things to try and use them as leverage on deals before making the freely available, or else more gems will not be unearthed. Simple, really.
