A lot of their material from the 80's is judged a little too harshly by today's standards. Sure, Party sounds a little dated now, but I've always liked it. It's upbeat, and fun.
Khashoggi's Ship is excellent.

If I could ask Roger one thing, that would be to record a real drum track for Party and release a new take (they've done it for I Can't Live With You, after all).
I'd like to find the multitrack for it, too. Could be interesting to have just the vocals tracks, I really like Freddie's (and Brian's) vocals on it.

Maybe not exactly on topic but about Khashoggi's Ship. I was reading this one day: http://www.mercuryparadise.com/hyper/BC_SweetQueen.html
There is a mention of a song 'Action' by Sweet. I listened to it and it sounded very familiar at 2:24! : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0mqfDwKGQM
It can't be a coincidence.

That's a good spot. It's kinda buried on KS but definitely there.

It's a silly track, but still a great track with some very interesting arrangements.
It's completely unlike anything in the Queen catalog. No less bizarre than Get Down Make Love or Mustapha.
I always liked it.
Agreed. Word for word.

On my iTunes, I've kicked out the chaff (as far as I'm concerned – this isn't the Gospel According to Lester Burnham) and have it as such:
1. Breakthru
2. I Want It All
3. The Invisible Man
4. Too Much Love Will Kill You
5. The Miracle
6. Scandal
7. Hang On In There
8. Hijack My Heart
9. My Life Has Been Saved
10. Was It All Worth It
I love Breakthru as the opener – it's a fast rock song, but has that nice, moody intro. On another version from many years back, I used Lord Fickle's version of Breakthru, which spliced the extended remix intro with the "I wake up" bit, and it worked really well.
A heartbreaking song so early on a playlist?

I do struggle with The Miracle. I love it as it is and love the good b-sides (HMH and HOIT) - ok largely due to nostalgia but I'm never sure about revised tracklists. Although Too Much Love.. was from the era, I think retro fitting it to the album is a mistake. Like rejigging those handful of Doors album cuts that were left overs from earlier albums and adding them on. Of course, this depends largely if you like those particular tracks :) and I've never been keen on TMLWKY or MLHBS. Appending the bonus material works better as bonus material (IMO) rather than slotted into the main body. Unlike, say, IGC being slotted onto The Works, or SWAFIB being added onto Q2. A good exception to this is something like Bowie's ZS album - the off cuts trump most of the actual album by quite a gap. In that case it would change the flavour of the album, making it more up tempo and 'glam' (hence more to my taste) but in the Miracle's case, I feel the additions and removals would make the album a bit less 'bonkers' and more slick. And I think we can all agree, the Miracle as delivered was a bonkers album.

I like the acapella singing in the song, but I don't like how when i listen to it on apple, the song cuts off at the end.

I had a really cheap keyboard once and wondered if a song could be made by pressing the 'demo' button.
Yes.
