Mooghead is the court jester of this board( no offensive meaning), some of his statements are quite funny, some of them not so much.

I just get why people are creaming themselves over a guy who takes a video tape and converts it to 16mm. Its like using Instagram to make a picture look dated. My digital vid cam has a filter that makes things look sepia.. that is all that is going on here. Its the Emperor's new clothes.

^ The thing is, he didn't convert it. The footage was transferred to film in the 70s. He only got a hold of the reel and digitized it.
Whether you get excited about it or not doesn't matter to me. Just wanted to set this straight as it's not an artificial effect (or defect).

The 16mm might be original (arguably) but just because it might be authentic doesn't mean it doesn't look awful

Does anyone remember this? (from 2005)
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Further to my earlier message about Planet Rock (222.06 on DAB Digital Radio) broadcasting live from Hyde Park in July I have just heard the following on Nicky Hornes show.
'We will be broadcasting all day from back stage at Hyde Park, and at about 9 o'clock, whilst the guys are on stage, we will be broadcasting the original Hyde Park gig from the mid '70's in its entirety. This is not a shoddy bootleg, the band have made available to us the original master tapes of the concert, and we can assure you that they are far better than anything you may already have heard'.

It never happened...[/QUOTE]
Almost ten years ago, but now that i´m reading it, i think i remember it.
This was about Queen´s gig in Hyde Park in 2005, and if i remember correctly there are interviews with Roger from that day, and indeed it was suposed to have aired their 76 gig but it never happened. Time flies!
