DepeX, I haven't received any PM. Please, try to resend it, and add any Facebook account you have (just to make things smoothier).

[/QUOTE] I won't bore you with my reasoning as it involves a comfy sofa and large screen TV. MKV would of course support lossless audio, and there are plenty of people on here capable of creating such a file.

A dual-layer (8.5GB) DVD would support the Houston concert including LPCM audio - all on a single disc. An MKV would be preferable for a lot of us though :)

High bitrate video (9000+) alongside LPCM audio causes playback problems on most DVD players (and even VLC)
That's why I re-encoded my DVD audio to AC3.
I'm pretty certain this is the 704x576 video source I used as the menu screen shots are the same.

Now you should have all the ingredients you need for your MKV with ''lossless'' audio.

Thanks for the great upgrade.
Can someone please share the Houston concert (audio only) seperated tracks instead of one big flac file. I don't know how I can do it and don't have a hardware to do it...
Many many thanks again...

I've done it, but I want to wait to hear from DJGreg to hear exactly what he did with it before I do up a text file and such.
Also, ideally, I'd like to have another version without the hiss reduction. That's the only part I found unnecessary, as a bit of tape hiss is character. The digital artifacts left behind are heard in the quieter moments, and really shouldn't be there, as far as I'm concerned. But that one small blemish aside, it's still excellent.

If whenever somebody makes this DVD or MKV or whichever, if they could fix the lighting and contrast before encoding that'd be great

If you can wait for a week, more or less, I'll share something similar :-)

Actually, I'm really starting to warm up to DJGreg's version of the video

Forgive me, because I haven't actually listened to the (seemingly!) great work done by DJGreg, BUT!
Did this guy rip off your work, taking the credit for himself (as he always does)?
The Real Wizard · Member since
^ I wouldn't say he's taking credit. He just uploaded it to YouTube, which is pretty harmless, I think. It's not like he said he's the one who did the sound restoration or anything.

Did anyone create audio discs yet?

First time I hear of such problems. It's part of the DVD standard, and as such DVD players should be able to handle it?
Especially VLC on a computer.
