That's why I re-encoded my DVD audio to AC3.
First time I hear of such problems. It's part of the DVD standard, and as such DVD players should be able to handle it?
Especially VLC on a computer.
Create a disc with LPCM audio without re-encoding the video.
If plays on all DVD players and VLC without problems, you can prove me wrong.
I already tried it by the way, which is why I used ac3.
