Finally I got the 6 disc release on my hands! I'm listening to the 3rd cd. It's a shame Freddie's voice is too low on the Golders Green show... And Jailhouse Rock ends abruptly! The DJ chatter makes sense though.
The chatter on the Sao Paulo show is another matter... I don't fancy it!

There's DJ chatter on the BBC sessions 6 disc version that is not on the 2 cd version...

Where is Jersey, Joe? I'm 15 minutes from the Delaware Memorial Bridge in Wilmington.

Thanks, Steve

Also, all of my versions from BBC Session 1 have the stereo channels reversed in comparison with the On Air versions. Anyone know which is truly right? Fairly sure my bootlegs from Session 1 are the JSS shared masters...

Joe. You're in the US, yes?
The Hollywood Records CD from the 90's had the channels reversed, so maybe that's what you've got used to and why this new version sounds wrong to you?

Yep - New Jersey, USA

It's only the Session 1 tracks, so perhaps they are from the HR CD. I looked at the waveforms as well - definitely inverted L & R channels. Easy enough to fix.

Notably, for certain tracks (KYA and Liar for sure), I like my old version better than the On Air masters...[/QUOTE]

I'll try this again,

It's loud.

As regards Ogre battle intro being cut.
It seems they used the second take rather than use both.
If they were happy with the first one, there would be no second.

I think it is a feature of the track and not remaster.
