Wasn't that the promo video, recorded for Top of the Pops?

6 discs, one disc for each session lasting 15-20 minutes. It's Queen Productions after all!
That's what I fear too.

And the wonderful totally new item is a song they recorded but never did broadcast.... That'd be vintage QPL.

Not only a 3LP will be released, but also a 1CD and a 6CD version. Content unknown.
Well I hope they don't take the piss by releasing one session per disc!
If they're just releasing the songs, then they'll all fit on 2 discs (so no idea what the 1 disc version will be - seems a waste of time).
If they've got the full sessions with DJ talking in between (which I'd prefer!), then 3 at the most.

Let's hope the other 3 discs are some more unreleased stuff!

1 side of an LP is about 20 minutes -->so 3 LP's is about 120 minutes. 6 sessions from 20 minutes at the most...
In QPL-world this might very well translate to 6 20 minute cd's (with 1 unheard song on one of the cd's being marketed as the greatest thing since A night at the opera).

Let's hope this is not the case.

Live Aid and Wembley 86 were on Radio 1, right?

These two don't count because they were re-released to death... oh wait.

On a serious note, how many concerts were broadcasted by radio?

Golders Green 73
Velez 81
Live Aid
Wembley and Mannheim 86

Anything else?

Depends on them sticking to just BBC sources (which I'd prefer) so that strips out 2 of those gigs.

Add on Hammersmith Odeon too.

Brian MAy did that US radio tour in 1991 murdering Queen tracks. I'd kid of love to have that released at some point as it is bonkers.

Wembley was not broadcast by the BBC. AFAIK only Golders Green, Ham '75, Live Aid and the Freddie tribute were the only things the beeb had to do with.

But we know for sure this release will only have BBC material? I know those guys are top notch and its archives will be of high quality, but wouldn't hurt this release including the one of the South American shows or Mannheim.

But yeah, in the worst case scenario, 1 CD per session and no even Golders Green.

Wembley definitely was because my next door neighbour recorded it off the radio and I went around to listen and it was a thing of absolute wonder to me. In Concert or similar?
