I definitely would prefer cropping out the letterboxes :)

Can't you make them 16:9 pillar boxed? Personally, I'd choose to trim the right side a little more than the left to get rid of that round edge at the top right.

The best, IMHO, would be to crop any unwanted black border.

And in the case of 4:3 video, keep 'em that way. If you have a 4:3 TV you'll enjoy it, and if you play it with your 16:9 TV/PC you can crop it temporarily with the TV system, VLC Media Player or other players.

So you keep the image and everybody can do what finds comfortable.
Don't forget my collection of demos and outtakes: http://goo.gl/uQARhn PM me if you want any [leaked] multitrack. Ya se ven los tigres en la lluvia.

If I were you I would prefer 4:3 letterbox.

That is the fantastic project, Chief! But won't it be considered as sharing the official material by the forum administration ? Wouldn't it be treated the same way as your fabulous project to "restore" the proper colours to the Queen Rock Montreal?

Queen isn't offering this stuff for sale. It went out of production and retail ages ago.

The "out of print" argument is naive. The content is copyrighted, not only particular releases.
It is official, but should not be seen as illegal, considering its declared purpose and the good faith of the author.

"""""Queen isn't offering this stuff for sale. It went out of production and retail ages ago."""" I agree and I'm 100 % with others on this. That project as all your past projects are tremendously good and origin in your well-meant advertisement of the band's legacy in a greater quality. DOUL 2011 docu extras showed what COULD be done with these promo videos. Queen Prod. should take your doing as an example as majority of the great bands out there have released their greatest hits in an improved quality either via streaming or on Blu-ray.

But it won't heart if we ask Richard Orchard or YourValentine what do they think about putting this stuff here....

I'm not a member on this forum since it was established but wasn't a generally consensus accepted between this forum and Queen that we can put all we want here as long as it isn't copyright infringement ?

^ I'm not familiar with IWIA available in proper 4:3 apart from letterboxed versions (which was used here too). So no useful information was cropped off, only the black bars on top and bottom. Anyway, glad you like it.
the one available on Greatest Flix I & II DVD, was on 4:3? Can't remember
I think yes, if I remember correctly that promo dvd is in 4:3, i will check it asap
