But you clearly state that you don't know politics, claiming people who don't side with you have a lesser IQ cmon dude
Pardon you - but you started this thread with a conspiracy theory, nor do you know how to construct a proper sentence.

Leave politics to the adults, thanks.
I'm just writing so you'll understand.
And I'm just writing to tell you that you're an idiot. If you are busy touting conspiracy theories as recently as your last post, then you are not qualified to lecture people on political philosophy.

IQ is measurable. It's not a matter of opinion. When someone is drinking kool aid from biased news sources and resorting to logical fallacies during a debate, it means they're not very smart. They will not be able to pass a Mensa test if that's how poorly their brain functions.

But you clearly do not understand either concept, so I really should stop wasting my time with you.

I think Mike Hunt and andres_clip are doing a fine job helping panchgani to make the hard right as represented on QZ look deranged, petty and totally out of touch with reality. Mike Hunt ignores every argument of substance and believes saying he read it in an "online journal" is a source. Of course, he doesn't have much time to look for sources to back up his rants as he "do[es] have full life. A Job, family. Unlike some people!", but apparently not enough of a life to not post 7 consecutive lame attempts at providing sources (only one of which even remotely resembles a real reference, btw.) over a three-hour period.

"Ye shall know them by their fruits". If Mike Hunt, andres_clip and panchgani are the fruits, do you want to eat from that tree?

Call me an optimist, but I think there are enough people who are sufficiently intelligent to counterbalance the hordes of blind and ignorant fury. And very plainly, the Trumpites will do the most damage to their own brand. They're doing it right now.

Get over yourself Wizard and Thomas! Not as smart as you claim too be. And pretty arrogant I must add. I gave sources from where political people disagree with you, the same as you giving me liberal sources. Everyone of these sources has an agenda. The Right and left, so we basically have too go by what we feel and go by the world we live in day by day. I live In New York, so I'm living it. Not Just Watching CNN From Canada Or The UK. I'm a working class guy who talks with my peers, most agree the liberals are out of control. They're acting like animals. Looking at them everyday has me leaning to the right. I relate more with them. Wizard is always putting people down who don't agree with him. His IQ is so high be brags, lol.

Basing the legitimacy of someone's political opinions on their assumed IQ (if untested) doesn't seem too liberal or democratic.
Rather the opposite. The average voter has an average IQ.

I see you're still too much of a coward to respond to my previous post, in which I put forward concrete arguments about the BS you are spewing regarding democrats/liberals as opposed to the Trump-regime.

You just listed 7 of the most liberal leaning sources, if you can use the word sources, in the US.
According to the rest of the world, those sources are right down the centre.

As Stephen Colbert once said - "facts have a well-known liberal bias."

Also note that the rest of the world doesn't see politics in binary. The US may have two parties, but most other countries (especially in Europe) have more than that, or even dozens, often with more than one party ruling at a time (a coalition). The rest of the world doesn't interpret "not conservative" to automatically mean "liberal". It just means it's not conservative, as there are more than two ways to think.

If anyone thinks Vox and The Atlantic are biased to the "left" in the same way that Fox and Breitbart are biased to the right, they are literally insane and unable of critical thought.

Occupy Democrats - yes. But Vox, absolutely not.
The Atlantic, a 150 plus year old institution, is moderate at best.

You lose all credibility in stating that Vox isn't a left leaning "publication".

Then, you double down by saying if you disagree, you are insane.

That exchange above pretty well calls you out, my friend.

In politics (as with many things in life) there are two basic types of people. Those who talk only to the people who think like they do then blindly follow. And those who sit back look at the bigger picture and learn from it.

Education is a provider of knowledge, but common sense and an ability to learn from more than one source will always further our understanding. Both Mr Quinn and Mr Wizard seem to have a much more open minded and educated view than some in this current thread

I don't see their broad brushed attacks as very open minded. I see them just as you described above, as those who mingle with like minded people, and go after anyone who gives them the first hint of discord.

Wizard and TQ are, more than likely, very nice folks in real life. It's easy to be a keyboard warrior when it comes to politics.

That said, those who behave online the way that they do is a large reason that Donald Trump is in office today.

Had they went after Hillary Clinton, the single worst Presidential candidate to ever run for office, with one tenth of the vigor that they harbor for Trump supporters, we would have President Bernie Sanders.

Instead, we have the second worst candidate in office, who won because he wasn't Hillary Clinton, and because the "average" person is quite tired of being told by the media what to think, and tired of the attacks that you see here.

What about the Trump regime? They're In office for 4 days, how can we know if he's gonna do good! What we do know is Bush was the worst, Obama tried too clean his mess with mixed results at best. Obamacare is a mess as per Mr Clinton. I said it earlier, you want too talk about Trump and his sucess or failure, we could do that in a year. Now's not the time, 4 days he's in office!

Just a little fact that wizard forgot to mention about Obamacare, most Americans are complaining that they can't afford Obamcare. They pay 300 monthly the average person can't afford. I'm going by articles I read, and people in real life going through it. I live in america, unlike most on Queenzone. I have coverage through my Job, so the only thing I go by is what my fellow Americans tell me.

Most people wouldn't, only 1 - 2% or so. It's 131 or higher.

I think ignorance is a much bigger factor than IQ in these matters.

Obamacare sources, Americans say Obamacare is killing us! Obamacare Facts, what if I Can't afford coverage? And From CNBC News: more than half of us can't afford to pay 300 a month for Obamacare. Read both articles, these are stories I hear from American people. Not CNN!

We know, because he has already started to screw things up big time. For example, in four DAYS:

* The "alternative facts" controversy/huge screw-up

* Starting a war on press. This has often proved disastrous for democracies throughout the history, and is being watched with a lot of worry all around the world.

* Wanting to reopen Guantanamo and "Black site" prisons where torture most likely used to be conducted

* Severely hurting the relationship with China due to his Taiwan statement, and aggressively threatening with military interventions in the South China sea.

* Signing a law against abortion - surrounded by white male politicians, naturally: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-38729364

* Downgrading the importance of the people's voice by (falsely!) claiming that millions voted illegally. There is absolutely no sources for this whatsoever.

And this is without even mentioning repelling Obamacare. Even people who used to be against Obamacare are worried about this when he doesn't seem to provide an alternative or replacement.

I'm not saying you shouldn't be worried, god, he makes me a bit nervous. I even told some of my Far right friends that. But most of these stories are being told by the Democrats. He was always against the press and media. I agree with him on that. Most press write what will sell papers, not the actual facts. They make Race Relations in this country worse by writing false stuff before they know the facts. Example, A cop shoots black man on the front page of the paper. The BLM movement protests, then turns to riots. A few days later we find out the cop was justified in the shooting. The subject turned out too be a criminal who was armed. That's what the media does to sell papers. Abortion? I know Pence is super Religious, so I would be a bit nervous on that. I havn't heard Trump being against Pro choice though.
