They may have founded the band but it's still not Queen. Queen songs were from 4 members, not 2. It's the same old shit because it's a fact, nothing changed. I'm not saying don't record new material but it's not Queen, like it or not.

Why can't they use the Queen name after all they are Queen as much as AC/DC were AC/Dc after Bon Scott died or Genesis were Genesis after Peter Gabriel left or Pink Floyd were Pink Floyd after Syd Barratt left. Queen are as much Queen now as the Who are the Who or The Damned are The Damned. I really don't see what the problem is band members die or leave or retire from music while other band members carry on. Its funny but Queen enjoyed a massive resurgence when Freddie died and it seems to be happening again now sell out shows etc etc.
For the record I loved Fred as much as any Queen fan he was my hero from 1974 onward but come on if you don't like whats happening now its fair enough move on and listen to the old stuff some of us are actually glad the band in some form are still performing and I really hope they release some new stuff with Adam...........

They're not Queen. They go under the banner of Queen+.
And let's face it, none of those bands you mentioned went from having one of the greatest rock singers to having a tacky X Factor pop idol type singer.
I'm sure there would've been a hell of a lot of Pink Floyd fans that wouldn't have liked Will Young fronting that group. Just like I don't think The Who fans would've been overjoyed about having a Bucks Fizz member filling in for Roger Daltrey.

The issue is that people sometimes associate all the Queen+ crap along with it, be it Queen+ Five, Queen+ Wyclef Jean, tacky Pepsi adds or Queen+ Lambert or whatever other tasteless tacky crap they're done over the last couple of decades.

To the vast majority of people the are Queen and they are enhancing the legacy and its a fact that probably more than half the people going to see them this year were not born until Freddie had sadly passed. While its true that some of the more blinkered may not like Adam it is quite clear to those of us who care to listen that he is growing into the role of frontman for Queen and is also very popular with the younger generation therefore introducing the Queen catalogue to a whole new audience.

The majority of comments I see on the internet about May / Taylor is that they're doing it for the money and they're shitting on their legacy (not that I think they're doing it for the money, that's just a bonus - they're keeping themselves busy).
Not liking an artists voice, or their style doesn't make one "blinkered".
Listening to Lambert's voice again appeals to me no more than listening to Beiber's output anymore than I've already heard it. But by the logic you've already applied, anyone who doesn't rate Justin Bieber must be blinkered (or in other words, have a narrow or limited view). Well, no. Not so. One can like many different genres of music, and many different artists, but that doesn't mean because they don't like a certain artists voice, they're narrow minded or blinkered. It's just not for them. Obvious stuff.

lol lets be honest here bands evolve and like I said yes its promoted as Queen+ but as far as the majority are concerned its Queen a real life example is my eldest daughter who was born 3 months after Freddie died is as far as she's concerned going to her first Queen concert on December 9th and her excitement is immeasurable. I was lucky yes very lucky from Stafford to Knebworth i saw Queen 9 times in 8 years and yes nothing will ever come close to those gigs but Brian & Roger have never disappointed me whether with Paul Rodgers or Adam Lambert and with Adam it really is a Queen show I know because I've been there!!!
