I think you're right. They likely won't be back until the book is a done deal. Last I heard from Thor he said they'd like to keep their stories and pics close to the vest until the book comes out. Understandable but I'm curious as to what else they can tell us that they havent already. Or will it be a collection of the stories they've already posted here? I guess we'll just wait and see. Either way, I'll be buying a copy.

Personally I think Thor got a lot out of this forum. He chatted about all sorts of things, not just Freddie and took the time to get to 'know' us a bit (as much as you can online).
This thread started to feel quite cohesive. At the moment it's going the other way.
I noticed someone mentioned that Thor might consider a return to the thread if / when he's up for it. I just think we should make it worth returning to. If he doesn't, the glass is still half full, he interacted with us and he gave more than would be given for marketing purposes alone.

I'm thinking perhaps Peter Freestone was mistaken in his account of who was there, as much as I respect his p.o.v and believe most of what he says to be accurate...

She was supposedly quite a loud, larger-than-life person so I'm sure they would remember her if she was there. They've mentioned Mick Jagger though!
Further to this, she does not appear in any backstage Wembley footage, nor is she in any of the Kensington Roof Gardens party photos on Getty Images. She doesn't appear in the Summer 86 Garden Lodge footage either. Surely if she was there, she would be staying in his house and hanging out with his New York Daughters. In fact there are no photos of them together throughout the whole of 1986, as far as I know, which supports what she said about them not speaking for just over a year.

Because the Daughters and Barbara were from different countries, it would seem weird if they just turned up on different nights then went away. They would all have been staying with Freddie and would have met. It makes more sense for Peter to be wrong. Especially if you add in the fact she doesn't appear in any photos or backstage video footage, and she said they fell out temporarily at this time.
Maybe they slept in different places because Freddie bought the mews years later so he only had one room for the guests. Thor went to the party at the Roof Garden...Do you see him in videos or pics? No, we can't see him there...so? There were a lot of guests that day - he also invited a Japanese woman there (we have a video about that moment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNqQ-d4cdrk minute 4:33) - Do you see her in videos and pics during the party? No, we can't see her there (and if we didn't have this video we would never have known that she was there too!). So the fact that Barbara doesn't appear in any photos or backstage video footage is a proof? My answer is: absolutely not!
