I love Hot Space, Freddie's voice is wonderful on this album. Also Life is real is beautiful and very underrated.
I like My baby does me.
I don't like songs like Hammer to Fall...One Vision..Put out the fire. It feels like they were obligated to make rocksongs and came up with these.

Sign me up for the Hot Space is great camp. I've always liked it.
The Flash Gordon album is underrated. In my opinion it's better than your average Original Soundtrack recording with only orchestral pieces. It's got great music on it, it flows great and the addition of dialog almost makes you feel like you've watched the movie. Quite an experience from beginning to end and I can only imagine Brian feeling super proud about the whole thing, being the co-producer. (Side question: is Brian's "The Dark" from these sessions?)
Love of my life should be dropped from their live setlist ASAP. It is especially embarrassing in American tours where only 5% of the people sing it. Europe and South America? Ok, maybe it works there but not in the U.S. I watched 8 Q+AL shows in the U.S. in 2014 and 2017 and it was, at best, passable. Last year in Newark you could see Brian visible annoyed at the lack of singing.
Adam Lambert's (LIVE!) version of Who Wants to Live Forever is better than Freddie's studio version (let alone, the live ones, 2 semitones lower). Fucking Lambert blew my mind with that every single time.

Agreed with all this except that it's NOT better than Freddie's because Freddies delivery was first and THE structure for what came after.
His PERFORMANCE of the song, yeah I'll give u that.
* FLASH. I used to like the soundtrack more than the film. It's truly atmospheric and great.
A new unpopular statement
Brian's ANOTHER WORLD TOUR was better than any of this Q+AL stuff. At least it was rock and roll, and Brian's guitar shined

A lot of Hot Space comments....not used to the positive feed back for that album. As far as HS..I think I like the first half better than side 2, or at least equal. Put Out The Fire still is one of Queens worst Rock songs. Some songs I like that are generally hated are Back Chat and Cool Cat.

Freddie sang worse and wrote inferior songs when sporting a moustache. [/QUOTE]
Also, In the eightees Freddie became to behave more gayish, particulary in clips. Videos to Breakthrough and I'mGSM are flooded with the air-kisses, duck faces, winking and all that mimic.
Being avid fan of the band I can't take it as his sort of humor, it's just silly.
Not so that i'm homopfobic (or Fred was not gay :))), but when they came to making videos on the last 2 albums, his behaving started to annoy.
Brian's not have a big talent to acting too, in a videos often looking embarassed or smiling/mimicing like a shy-baby.

Agree with everyone on 'Cool Cat'. Probably my favourite song from the album along with 'Las Palabras De Amor' and maybe 'Life Is Real'.
BTW on the topic of John & Freddie collaborations, I really like 'Rain Must Fall'

Las palabras is a nice song....under Pressure, Cool Cat, Las Palabras and Back Chat are my favorites...Rain Must Fall I used to hate, but I like it now. Nice guitar work.

Are you talking about the videos for The Miracle and Innuendo? I'm not a huge fan of "gayish" behavior either (hate the studio version of See What a Fool and the 70s outfits by Queen and many other performers and Freddie's constant use of the words "darling" and "dear"), but there is certainly not much of it in Freddie's last videos. IGSM sure, but IWIA, Breakthru, Scandal, The Miracle, TATTOOL - he's really "manly" in all of them and very little stupid goofiness going on in my opinion.

I'm shocked, I thought it was only me who didn't like POTF! I hate, and I mean hate the song. Worst song Queen ever did, IMO.

-Freddie looked more like a gay when he was with Mary.
-I think Jim Hutton was a better person than Mary Austin(and more atractive).
-Brian is always prettier than Roger.
-Adam has a pretty face, but something evil is radiating out of that face. And he is fat a little,I think.
;-D
But I'm serious.

Friends Will Be Friends is musically fantastic and features some of Brian's finest guitar work. Fuck lyrics.

Yeah, i've talking about vids for last 2 albums. But of course not for all the videos on them.
I Want it All, Miracle, "This Are The Days" ,"Headlong" are pretty good and of my faves.
But Breakthru, Scandal and Going Slightly Mad are controversial for me cos' of Freddie's specifical mannerism which I don't like.
Scandal in fact lacks gayish behaviour', but the whole video looks cheap and tasteless for such a band. So It's the only video on last albums i totally hate
