Those songs that you mention are not as good as anything from The Game album. The sales of The Game album proves that one.

The Game only sold more, because the US were still into Queen. After that they lost a big chunk of their fanbase there.
In Europe the later albums were more successful (apart from Hot Space).

Still, The Game is my favorite album.

CMSDrums That is an unfair comment because these days we have downloads and hype to get albums big sales.
Queens The Game album was pure talent and hard work and they needed no hype because they were genuinely talented.
Justin Bieber and that shower are hyped and pay the powers that be to make them look credible.

Any Britney or Justin song is better than a pseudo-disco or Elvis wannabe song.

No it isn't unfair. Britney Spears was selling albums way before downloads became a huge selling stream.

Plenty of other acts have outsold The Game, not just Spears and Bieber.

So as CMSDrums pointed out to you, judging things on the basis that you introduced to the discussion, plenty of acts have made better albums and are better performers.

And as far as people being hyped. Are you now going to claim that in 1980 Queen didn't have record company backing and advertising to push sales.

Your discussin was about The Game, don't now change albums to Greatest Hits to suite your agenda.

You brought up the subject of sales (of The Game) as proof of how good it is and how good the band were, rather than discussing it's musical merits. When people, me included, pointed out to you that on that basis ( an argument YOU introduced) many other acts have out sold that album ( The Game) and are therefore better than Queen.

The fact you don't understand irony and seem to be inept at holding an informed discussion has no barring on me being a Queen fan. . . .

The truth is in the US The Game sold more than any other Qiueen album, it was also the point where a lot of old fans decided it wasn't Queen enough, not like the 70's. The two singles, ABTD and CLTCL appealed to the mass market, both singles were huge and consequently the album sold to a whole new market., the next album didn't work so well.

Maybe YOU should read some books about the band and record sales in general and make an effort to understand things away from just saying Freddie was the best and Queen were the biggest ban in the world.
