yeah i can understand that she did get fed up of it all, but its only like Elvis fans visiting Grace lands and she knew the fans come with the territory. i know she has had two failed marriages and i wonder if the strain living in a rock legends house put pressure on the guys?

I have some questions.
Someone mentioned in this thread something about '50 years". What this really mean? It's mean that she actualy didn't inherited Garden Lodge? She can't sale house and no one of her family can't inherit house from her?
If this true, the house that Freddie loved so much and in which he lived with Jim, he in fact didn't left to her. He left her illusion that she is owner of the house. Interesting. With this, everything can be viewed in another way.
What will be after these 50 years? Who will take ownership of the house?

Invisible Woman, it just means someone doesn't know how to read a will. I've seen this repeated several times--that Mary only has the house for 50 years. This bugged me too so one day when I had nothing else better to do I found Freddie's will on line. There is a link to it somewhere on QZ or you can search for it. (If you want to and can't find it, let me know, I think I can find it quickly.) The house was bequeathed to Mary, which means it's hers. There is some business income that vests after 50 years, presumably royalties but I don't know. Someone misread this business of 50 years as if it applies to the house, and it's been repeated as if it's true.

I am not a lawyer but I know what bequeathed means. And of course it makes no sense to give someone a house for 50 years so they have to move out when they are very elderly!

As for invading Freddie's privacy by reading his will--there's very little in there that I didn't already know from other sources except a bunch of legalise.

@galileo1564 I found thread about it on Queenzone. I didn't want to read his will in details, it's harder to me to understand law things on foreign language, but how much I realize, Garden Lodge belongs to her.
It was strange to me when I saw "50 years". It would be like she didn't inherited. That's why I asked.
Probably someone misunderstood about something.
Thanks.

I haven't read the will, Perosnally i think it's over-stepping a bit.

It's not like Graceland, Graceland is now a museum for the public, Garden Lodge is still a house.

It's nothing like Gracelands.

Garden Lodge is Mary's private home. Elvis Presley's former home is a museum, which encourages visitors, after paying a charge.

yes i know Grace lands is a museum but that is what many Queen / freddie fans think of Garden Lodge as a kind of sacred place to try and get closer to freddie's world.

Good job you can still go there and see the gate isn't it.

I wonder if we will see the house become a museum at some point?

i have never been to Garden Lodge but some of my friends have to which i was well envious of !
The new movie Bohemian Rhapsody looks interesting but there will be a few mistakes scattered through the film i am sure.
Rami does look a bit ridiculous with those teeth and Freddie had better teeth than those, Rami looks like a rabbit wearing them.

In a thread started at least in part to address the mixing fact and fiction, there appears to be much mixing of fact and fiction.

Can't wait for the scene in the studio where Freddie yells at Brian "you're trying to make me sing like Paul Rodgers, and I can't do it!"

Im sure the movie is all about Maylor and how Freddie needs them after his failed solo career
