Cool. Freddie's teeth are really getting in the way on that version.

Actually, since thinking this was like a mini anthology I've actually really enjoyed it. After a couple of listens the sometimes weird edits settle down.

I wish they'd marked the drum solo in KYA as a separate track like on the original Rainbow release. NOT!!!

The real wizard is the expert. I hope, only for one time, Smile would play again and do it a concert. Like The Cross some years ago. Tim still sings well. Imagine...If I was a carpenter, April Lady, See what a Fool I've been, Step on me, Earth, Blag, Doing Alright, Polar Bear, Silver Salmon and some covers from Creem...

For those that have the CD, how is the booklet? More movie pictures or have some texts?

I was looking forward to Doing All Right but it really is a mess. A weird mashup of the 1969 version and the new one (just listen to that "seamless" edit at 2:02), with terribly autotuned vocals on the new version. Quite disappointing.

It pains me to say it (and Doing All Right has never been a favourite of mine) but there will be a whole generation who will have this as their first version of it, and they'll eventually hear the Q1 version and not like it.

thank you for your opinions!

1. 20th Century Fox Theme: it's the Queenest way to start this biopic about Freddie and the Band! On the footsteps of the Wedding March, i loved it and it was actually the track i was more curious about. (maybe some extra reverb for the guitars would have made it even better)

3. Doing All Right… revisisted: I have to digest it i must say, dysan said something it may happen with new generation of fans. There's a "glitch"(edit) indeed at 2.00 min but i cannot judge the track negatively, also because it probably has to match scenes.... it is certainly interesting.
4. Keep Yourself Alive (Live At The Rainbow 74): A great version, thanks for the report about the different speeches of the same song :)

6. Fat Bottomed Girls (Live In Paris 79): I totally agree with Adam's words: "This is a fantastic performance, recording and mix. This will make everyone want a live Paris release. An unexpected highlight!"

8. Now I’m Here (Live at the Hammersmith Odeon 1975): I'm not the bigest fan of Now i'm Here, even though live sounds better than the studio version. Good to hear this little gem in the movie OST

10. Love Of My Life (Live at Rock In Rio): thank you for the comparison with the music cassette, i didn't know about the diferences. The least sung "love of my life", i guess. it's all about Stadium karaoke here :) great atmosphere

11. We Will Rock You (Movie Mix): From 0:00 to 0:51 it’s the album version. 0:52 to 2:09 is live, I believe from Earl’s Court. This is kind of weird, splitting the song like this. From the movie previews, I can see this working well for the purposes of the film, but it’s kind of weird on its own. Yep, kind of weird, Freddie's live voice doesn't even sound much like him...the mix is strange. But still, it has to be listened and seen with the movie

13. I Want To Break Free: Another experiment we were probably not needing for :)

16-20. Live Aid performance: "Nice to have this on CD, if only partially". yep, but then i wonder: Probably "Is this the world we created..." suffers too much hisses and noises to be fixed? Or is it just another Queen production cruel decision to postpone this song for the next ultimate anthology? ;)

21. Don’t Stop Me Now… revisited: Interesting guitar addictions ideed, i love this song, any version i know (marc martel's too). Good that it was brought up live again in the last live tours.

Now i just have to watch this movie. Some day, one day......Italy apparently will release it after everyone else....
Anything too stupid to be said... is sung.

It can't be Earls Court, as they hadn't written the song yet.

It's from 1979. Very likely Paris 2-27, as it sonically matches FBG (other than the fake hand clapping, of course).

Just proof that this movie will be all about bigging up maylor and putting Freddie's role down. More Brian and Roger on DSMN, more Brian songs, More Brian on DAR.this will be a mess

I’ll repeat again for everyone. I made an error. Obviously wwry wouldn’t be from Earls Court. My bad. I was thinking of something else and wrote wrong information.

It especially couldn't be from Earls Court in the setting of the movie since WWRY wasn't written until about '82 :)

(Sorry to bring that up again!)
You just can't beat the reasonably priced mosquito repellant OFF.

For someone who hasn't heard Doing All Right before they'll probably really like it because they wouldn't realise that different parts of the song come other recordings. I quite like it but the start of the bridge and the start of heavy guitar doesn't quite work.

I know it goes against all rules of movie commerce, but perhaps they could've made this available after the film was out so we'd be more forgiving of the edits etc. Perhaps even a freebie when you buy a ticket for the movie.

Would nicely bump up GH sales for the casual fan who might be waiting for the movie to hit Netflix but intrigued by the promo - but also encourage a lot more people to go to the picturehouse.
