It's a shame the Chinese Torture effect is all over the Fanfare. Would've been nice as a 'raw' one like Procession / GSTQ

OK, needs more autotune though.

Don't Stop Me Now is interesting. I definitely prefer the snare mix in this new version.

Is that pic meant to be Paul Prenter kissing Freddie????? I wasn't aware they had a thing. Thought they were just friends. And Freddie looks like he got tits.

Just proof that this movie will be all about bigging up maylor and putting Freddie's role down. More Brian and Roger on DSMN, more Brian songs, More Brian on DAR.this will be a mess[/QUOTE]

The soundtrack has 7 Freddie songs and 7 Brian songs.

You also haven't seen the film yet. So maybe you need to readdress your definition of "proof".

By your logic, the News Of The World album is a mess since there are 3 Freddie songs and 4 Brian songs.

FOR SHAME. HOW DARE THEY.

In fairness, it does seem a bit odd for Brian to try to improve DSMN. Firstly, it's Fred's song. Secondly, it does not need any additions: it's one of the UK's most popular songs. So it's like drawing a moustache on the Mona Lisa. And to do it in such a sloppy, messy way is unforgivable. The drums don't even sound like they're in time with the rest of the song, and the extra guitar adds nothing. Pointless noodling really.

according to "doing alright":
i cannot figure it out (for health reasons... i'm quite kind of deaf by the moment *grrr*)... ) but... the double take on brian's vocals at the end of the tune: to me it seems as it wasn't brian on both of the tracks but for mr.staffell on one of them. can anybody confirm or deny that ?
.
otherwise.... i think that very track is THE hightlight of the album (should i say OST ?). a great opportunity. not by any means. mr. staffell told me the other day that there wasn't a session on which they played together, but some fractioned studio visits. nonetheless... it's a great song. it's another great approach to carry a certain mood. imho. and THAT could only be improved by having those three musicans playing live on stage. in person. together. *wishful thinking*

Sure, fair enough.

But to attach ill-intent to it in the form of suggesting that they're trying to minimize Freddie's contributions (when the entire film is clearly about him) is just plain unnecessary.

If they can't get together for an afternoon recording session, then planning, rehearsing, and doing a gig seems pretty unlikely.
