Good seeing John....he's 67 now, do people really think he should look like he's 40? Brian looked so young because of his he Dyed hair...once he stopped he looks every bit of his 70 years...by the way, I agree Freddie took him under his wing and John wouldn't have lasted without him....That's why John retired, his big brother/protector was gone and also his death hit him hard....I wouldn't dare diagnose John with any mental disorder...Do you people know him?

I just went to a parallel dimension, approximately 2% off our current dimension. It was pretty similar except Roger and Brian had joined up with AL as 'Ro-Br-Ad' and played low key shows in town halls - only playing new material and the occasional solo album deep cuts. They refuse to do any old Queen stuff out of respect and because they felt the need to create and develop even after all these years. I came on Queenzone to see what the vibe was like, and Mr Right had a real chip on his shoulder. 'WHY DON'T THEY JUST PLAY QUEEN SONGS??? IT WOULD BE AMAZING!!'

John Deacon knew been on stage with Brian & Roger but no Freddie would feel awful as he learned from the Freddie tribute concert. He mad the right decision in my opinion.
Brian & Roger are hard faced and make shrewd business men but john was too nice for that.

Yes John may have decided it would be too hard to go on stage without Freddie but as I just said they are different people and handle things differently, there's no right or wrong, everyone makes decisions based on the way they feel. For a long while Brian & Roger felt the same, at some point that changed and they felt the need to be out there playing again.

yea, he looked out of place at the tribute concert..especially making that speech in the beginning of the show...He looked at Axle Rose at one point, like, look at this wannabe Freddie with the tight shorts...Freddie was dressing like that in 1977...

Still not a complete Queen band, so dress it up as you will but we all know it is a diluted watered down version of Queen and not value for money.

Erm that wasn't the point of me raising it you tool.

I am also betting that Roger, if he said anything, meant that Deacon has social anxiety or something a kin to that. Unless there is trail of dead groupies left by him in the wake of Queen's tours - which I find unlikely.

I have to say more and more this idea that "I have so much more respect for John" really strange. Granted we have NO idea the truth on ANY of it really - but going by everything we DO know and can infer, it doesn't sound to me anything like John's leaving Queen behind has *ANYTHING* to do with being out of respect for Freddie. If so, then he wouldn't have gone out with Roger a Queen in 1993 and be a part of a time when Roger said that he and John were "keen to continue and it was up to Brian if he wanted to join them", and do No-One But You, and BE a part of the beginnings of We Will Rock You. It seems more like a possible depression/social anxiety, etc.

So how does that fuel the no Queen without Freddie crowd's "respect"? But let me phrase this as a question because I too don't KNOW. If John's absence is more to depression or social anxiety rather than "choosing to leave", than is it still "worthy" of the same respectfulness?

I think the whole thing is silly....The Roger/John thing was only 1 show right? Made In Heaven was Freddie related, as was No One But You....He did perform In 97 with Brian and Roger with Elton John...I think he Just decided Queen was over and retired...A new chapter of his life was beginning. It could be that simple. Despite my dislike of Queen + and Adams voice, I don't blame them for playing those songs and keeping the name...They did gain young female fans with lambert...Rodgers is a rock legend, but they wern't gaining any youngsters with him...maybe John is working on a book and wants it released when he dies...I Just wish he gave his opinion on what Brian and Roger have done...His opinion on the new movie would be Interesting.

Mr Deacon had some sense unlike the other two......[/QUOTE]

And the glaring irony of the fact that the photo you posted was taken at a Queen gig in 1993 (read: after Freddie) is completely lost on you.

This gig:

Rolling Stone even did an article on it earlier this year.

But of course you knew that.
