I'm fully aware of when that song was released. I was expressing an opinion that it may have worked (better) as the second single.

VH i should not have to explain all the sophisticated arrangements on "You & I" just use your ears and that will suffice.

If you're going to give The Circle of Eidolon guff for mistaking 'Long Away' for 'You And I', it's only fair to give you guff for claiming that Queen's First EP hit #21 in the UK, when it actually hit #17 in the UK.

Also, long live The Circle of Eidolon.

As far as i know to my knowledge "Good old fashioned lover boy" made no 21 in my charts were we live. If it did make no 17 then great!

I've always liked You & I. I think it would have made a pretty solid single.

John Deacon's 1st 5 Queen songs are his best IMHO. Misfire is my favourite.

"Misfire" was so underrated on the "Sheer Heart Attack" album too.

Yes "Who needs you" never got played live as far as i know. That would have made a fab single.

Yes, a band noted for bombastic songs with multi-layered vocals definitely should have released a nice but trivial little salsa song as a single in 1977. A sure-fire hit!
