There can be no debate as to whether that is racist. It is *textbook racism*. And everyone, literally everyone, who reads it knows that.

I don't care whether or not TS is a troll - the comment is definitely racist, and I can't say I like the way people are excusing it.

Of course its racist. A small minded attitude as so many if his posts have proved.

Some have been kind and said its a clumsy post but if that's the case surely he would have posted an explanation, taken down the post or just apologised.

The topic starter said I was saying racist and nasty things here, and that is not true.

So, yes, it does matter that he is a troll. It is not going to be an honest conversation with the topic starter.

Of course, there's no need to mention colour, but when I first read the post I just took it as a clumsy blanket statement. No need for it, but didn't seem racist. BUT...I've re-read it, and somehow had originally missed his last line, which alters the tone of his post altogether. Yes it comes across as racist and should be deleted, or an explanation from him posted. I have my reasons for initially thinking it was just clumsy, but don't want to offer up easy excuses for him.

So you all think my post was racist, well it was not ! i was merely explaining that the guy who was bad mouthing Freddie & Brian was probably black and had a problem.
It is a given fact that many black people are homophobic and uneducated about sexuality especially same sex relationships.
So i am not bothered how my post came across if evil people slag off Freddie i will always defend Freddie because he is not here to defend himself.

Saying it's not but not apologising for the way it comes across or was written doesn't make it any better.

Trying to qualify the comment as you have above makes it worse. Maybe an approach of there are still many homophobic people in this world would have been more acceptable. The fact is you could point the finger at white people just as easily.
