That is sky-high rhetoric. Freddie Mercury never needed anyone to defend himself. And I very much doubt that he wanted Donna13 to defend him, had he ever needed anyone to do so.

It's disgusting that Donna13 accuses black people of being homophobic, but is obviously using racist terminology. Racists don't like gay men. Racist ideals are based on the supremacy of white, straight males. The idea of one man kissing another man - and loving it - is going to pump racists up.

By the way, being a gay man, I can tell you good people that there's still an awful lot of misogynistic behavior among gay men. Stating that fact, am I being homophobic?
It's also a fact that gay men are still being affected by HIV in the so called "civilized world“ to more than 80 percent. There's a reason for that. And that reason has a name: homophobia (resulting from self hate). Coming from gay men. Think about that. If all gay men would be loving, caring and compulsory human beings, we wouldn't spread the virus willingly from one man to the other. And don't give a shit.

There are black people who are homophobic. But there's also lots of white homophobic folks. And there are certainly gay men being homophobic. It's not a good idea to pinpoint homophobia in one group of people without thinking further while the facts are so plain obvious.

In fact, it's stupid.

No, not an excuse for your comment - it wasn't Donna who said that (so maybe you should apologise rather than dance around it with an excuse. For what it's worth, I've never seen a name change from Donna).

Again it's not just white people who are racist - racism comes from all over. Apartheid, segregation, slavery etc are not the discussion here and using them to say only white people are racist is nonsense.

I’ve never had any other username. And I’ve been here a long long time, since (I think) 2005, during the Queen Plus Paul Rodgers tour. I was 13 when Killer Queen first became a hit on the radio, and that was the first Queen song I ever heard. Thus my user name.

I'm not going to prop up a troll, but much of the US did have segregation, which oftentimes took forms that can reasonably be compared to the system of apartheid.

Maybe you are simply not very smart. I don't know. I'm going to assume that you are not beyond redemption, so I'll explain this very simply.

You hear one lack man spouting hatred. From that, you conclude that "black people" as a group think like that. That is a textbook example of racism. Nobody in this topic defended the nutjob in that video - they are, correctly, calling you out for racism when you slur black people *as a group* for the behaviour of one.

Racism means ascribing individual characteristics, either positive or negative, to a whole ethnic group. That ranges from "Asians are over-achievers" to "Jews are greedy" and from "black people are good at sports but aren't as smart as white people" to "Italians can't control their tempers". Your remarks about black people fit in perfectly with that way of thinking - so learn from that, and stop thinking in a racist way. Because it's not just malicious, it's also plain incorrect.

Nobody *thinks* your post is racist. Your post is racist. You may not have realised you were being racist. Either you did realise and you just want to upset people and create aggravation on the forum (in which case your account should be deleted because it is annoying to do that, but it is simply not acceptable to use racism to do that) or you didn't realise, in which case, apologise and take this as an opportunity to learn.

To stereotype and make derogatory comments towards any group of people due to matters such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, background or anything at all is always discriminatory and wrong.

You are never "defending Freddie" by merely insulting someone anyway and in any case, everyone here agrees that that video is obviously stupid (I can't even tell if it was made as an unfunny joke. Surely no person could actually believe the stuff in it.)
