The Original HIgh went double platinum in Australia which means at least 140,000 copies sold so no idea where you two get your figures from.

No idea what you just posted or if you're asking a question? And no his solo career isn't over he's doing pretty well in the Itunes charts with his EP - #12 in the UK & #17 in the US and the single hasn't gone to radio officially yet. Doesn't matter anyway it's not all about chart positions, he likes touring and provided there's enough fans interested he'll be able to tour which is the ultimate goal.
He is able to fill a dive bar or a small toilet with his solo crap
Adam’s touring is with Queen. Not solo. A concert here or there isn’t a tour. He’s got a contract with Queen.
Also, the iTunes chart is irrelevant... more people buy physical copies in the big countries. If Adam released a single but boy to radio, he’s a fool. It works best the opposite way. I think maybe Adam just hasn’t created a radio hit. Not once in my life have I even heard him on the radio.
* but not to radio
People buy records by hearing it on the radio.
“Oh, what’s that noise?
Woah! A new song? I better go buy it!”
Considering Adam has no promo single, obviously people are fucking up his career even worse. No promo single is the worst thing I’ve ever heard. No wonder his music hasn’t sold for the past 5+ singles.
Then again, if it’s on the radio... it’s been released to DJ’s, maybe digitally?
Promo singles are released to DJ’s without sale. The singer makes due with his pay each time the song is played, that’s where money comes in. If Adam’s song is on the radio, he’s released it digitally to them. Which is officially. DJ’s aren’t going out to buy music.
But, honestly... Lambert puts out the same electronic bullshit time and time again. What DJ wants to play it?
His music is subpar compared to “casual” Queen... Adam’s income comes from Queen. Adam spends more on recording studios and song writers than he does on sales.
If he sold 100,000 copies of his album in the USA alone.., that money is split, he gets a tiny percentage compared to producers and other numerous extras. His album may have cost a couple million to make. If it doesn’t sell well, yes, he’s spending more than he’s making. That’s not even including videos and crap!
If Adam formed a band, and he could write the lyrics, and they could write the music, he’d solve a lot of his money problems, instead of hiring others who take lump sums for product that might not even sell. Sometimes it’s better to be in a band than to be in love with your own name and fame. Freddie knew this.... it’s why Queen sold so well. So many diverse influences and songs between the members. A song for most genres and all moods. Driven by loads of different instruments.
If Adam takes piano classes, he can get rid of that fee as well.
* Piano lessons
Adam's first albums sold well, even his last album, in light of selling less copies in the USA than Mr. Bad Guy sold in the UK, a country 1/20 the size. But his singles failed. It was obviously poor thoughts on the record company. Maybe they were thinking, "Promote his fucking album before the worship dies down, never mind the singles!"
I just don't know. There was so much promotion on his albums, but little on his singles. They treated him as a novely act, mayve he is one. I do think he could do better, but its not Queen related.

Oh, like the Hammersmith Apollo, that he sold out on his last tour? I was there with my daughter and the place was filled with 5000+ people. Strange dive bars and toilets are that, that you visit...
