Good or bad Queen year ??

How do you rate 2019 as far as live concerts and releases ? Are you happy ? Or do you think it has been awful ? Have your say, I think it has been a bit dire,i am not interested in Queen & AL although they are very popular. Mind you so was syphilis back in the day. Freddies box set was pretty boring,i was so hoping for a Live Killers box set at the very least.

Heard that some liked the MBG remixes though.

Overall it was a good year for Queen. Note that I say Queen. For the fans though it was kind of mixed. The Ballet for life release and never boring weren’t bad, but we didn’t need that stuff. We wanted Live Killers 40 or Hammy 79, not a ballet film that no one asked for. For me it was an average year. It wasn’t as great as last year, but still a descent year. Their doing strong on their tour with Adam and it seems they aren’t stopping for awhile. 2020 will probably be another bland year in my opinion.

For us fans of the live stuff, it's been a wonderful year. Lots of new goodies have arrived.

Concerts? I don't care about QAL. Releases? Which releases? I honestly can't remember what they released this year, I remember I didn't think it's worth downloading for free and now a few months later I don't remember what it was. So ... from my point of view huge disappointment.

This year has been great. The band now have a new generation of fans. I don't think the band have ever been so successful on a global scale.

Q+AL shows the demand for Queen, people want to see Queen live - there's just that minority which don't appreciate it even though on the whole is great for Queen's legacy.

band lineup changes work when they maintain/improve upon the product quality of the original lineup.

Deep Purple mkII and mkIII did so. Various incarnations of UFO did. Iron Maiden's second lineup did. Pink Floyd did. ELO did.

Queen+AL does not do this. There has been no "product" and the live gigs are not really a queen show...they're and Adam Lambert show singing karaoke Queen - with "authentic" backing band.

I'm not miserable at all, I'm very happy and I hope you have a great time at the shows, personally I don't care if they are still touring, but reality is this produces crappy releases, not sure why you don't get that...……..

I do get the releases bit mate.
