Look at Archive releases from Floyd and Whitesnake. Thats how it is done!

While I agree with you [which may be a first - as you could be Gerry in disguise), I do wonder why you would ever hold out for any new releases.

Bands no longer make money from music releases. Touring makes money. The occasional Greatest Hits / Live Compilation will make some money too.

Deluxe Boxsets were last decade's thing - they probably didn't make much money then - but it'd be so much less revenue now.
