Well, that was underwhelming.

Would you all have preferred a DoRo montage production?

At least it wasn't about an acquired immunodeficiency syndrome.

But yeah, got something that was apparently looked at as a missed opportunity by the band (*never shot a video) or Brian at least... i can see how "underwhelming" is accurate.

It just functions as a sort of quiet video gift card. Lets the music speak

As for the 50+ posts that were deleted by Admin...you can't deny that - because approx 3 pages of posts disappeared making the final page (page 4) while the page count showed 7.

I liked the video well enough.

It put me in the holiday spirit, actually.

It's nice there's a video for the song now even if it's a weak animation (some of the recent animations are better than this). Though this animation is better than a slideshow which has been used up to this point.

It's a shame that they didn't make a proper video back in 1984 because if they had then the song will be a lot more known now because of more airplay. Elton John's Christmas song wasn't a hit when first released but more recently it's been very successful partly due to a video.

@21st Century Music Fan : Yes it was such a shame Queen's christmas single had no promotional video because the single was great and deserved better.
If a video had been made it would have got a higher chart position i am sure.

I think it's probably difficult to film a video for a Christmas hit that was recorded during the summer.

Factor in a very full Works tour that kept them on the road until 20th October (didn't they finish off in Sth Africa?)...I suppose the last thing they'd feel like doing at that stage would be scheduling a video shoot.
