Hope Anita recovered well from her stint in the sack with old Craig Revell-Horwood; she must have needed a damn good bath after that one, eh!? Yuck. I'm sure Biggins made her a double espresso to get over the initial shock though.
Really sad to see your latest activity on that social media platform that is the absolute fucking bane of the free world. Surely you'll have learned from old Trouser Trump that not everyone needs to know everything about everyone all the time by now. Your fans are your fans and friends and will understand that you find the world a tough place to inhabit whether its plastered all over the internet or not. You are cared for.
Is it any wonder, though, that you are publiscizing your battles with depression when you openly state to anyone that will listen, that you'll be "getting back to normal" by biking, stretching and hot and cold showering?
Normal? Hell's teeth chap. The rest of us are feeding our families by emptying bins, treating cancer patients, teaching children trigonometry, pulling pints, designing world-class sports facilities etc etc, blah, blah, blah. Perhaps, if you sought to fill your early days of recovery from such a stressful Christmas perior with meanningful work you would find more purpose in life and be less prone to depression. Lots of us suffer.
Here's a thing, Brian; you're a world-renowned guitarist and ex-member of one of the biggest bands in history. You have your own guitar. You have your own Deacy amp. You have a home studio. You count many of the world's most talented rock musicians as firends. You have written sngs that have had huge success (and some absolute fucking stinkers).
Why Not Make An Album?
If you're looking for a 2020 resolution, there's a decent place to start, mate.
Forget the planet-saving; Greta's reached many more people in a few short months and in a more constructive manner than you have for over 10 years and I'm sure your lack of success on this front is a contributing factor.
Forget the farmers; you're about as relatable to them as Jezza is to the rank and file "Reds" who deserted him last month; again, a contrbuting factor.
Forget the Q+AL shambles as it must be draining hobbling about on one leg, wearing Metropolis masks and capes, playing the Brighton Rock solo for the 800 billionth time to 12 year olds that haven't got a fucking clue who you are.
Make some new music. Move us with new songs. Create something that is of value and worth to YOU as a guitarist and composer. I'm sure you haven't magically lost the ability to do so if you try.
Best wishes,

lol good one. Mine would be even more harsh. One of the saddest stories in ROck there there is ZERO songwriting from one of the best guitarist ever for over 24 years now apartfrom a few Ellis recordings. Sad but true. Jimmy Page is even worse.

At least he does not mix up "fan" with "Blind follower" like yourself who think Maylor are shitting golden bricks. He is completely spot on! Especially when it comes to the "Hobbling on one leg " part. WAL described in 4 words very precisely

He forgot Mays latest "Veganuary" stunt.

What???
There's no law that says that once you've been a rock star you have to keep writing songs til the day you die. People evolve and develop other interests - astronomy, for example. Also, it's worth noting that he's doing what he loves - and why shouldn't he.
How would YOU feel if someone said "Oi! just stop being a Postman, you used to be a Policeman (years ago). I demand you deal with the crime I am reporting to you now!"
FFS. leave the guy alone.

Shit, he's jumping on that bandwagon too isn't he? Bet he's been queuing up outside Greggs for that new pie....... But it'll only be selective veganism like the majority of the rest of the hypocritical fucktards. Hemp guitar straps anyone?
He's probably got Anita doing "Fanuary".........

It is actually, thanks for asking.

Nothing to do with being a fan or not, is it. Your sad devotion to that curly-haired guitarist has not helped you conjure up the ability to dissect my post, or given you clairvoyance enough to find the cure for Brian's various ills......... No, wait a minute, that's Admiral Motti........ Where am I....... Oh, yes.
What was **WRONG** with it?

There's just one problem with all that you just wrote - depression doesn't care if you have a phd, you're a multimillionaire, you have endless amounts of talent and it seriously doesn't care if you are better off in lots of ways than other people so saying fill your days with meaningful things or make an album is pointless when depression has robbed you of your creativity and ability to do much more than drag yourself out of bed. As to forgetting QAL, that bit shows you understand even less about Brian and his depression, he's said many times that touring makes him feel alive and he sinks into depression when he gets off a tour so if he stopped altogether he'd feel even worse.

Correct, but there fucking should be if what the world is left with is the Brian May of January 3rd 2020..........
>People evolve and develop other interests - astronomy, for example. Also, it's worth noting that he's doing what he loves - and why shouldn't he.
He's evolved, has he? To what extent, pray tell. From any perspective, Brian's music career has done absolutely NOTHING but stagnate or regress since 1998 when he bounced on stage dressed as Conway (fucking) Twatty. There are few guitarists left that still have magic in their fingers and Brian has that but relies SOLELY on nothing but the 800 billionth rendition of the Brighton Rock solo and jumping on the back of a solo artist whose audience has not fucking clue who they are actually watching.
>How would YOU feel if someone said "Oi! just stop being a Postman, you used to be a Policeman (years ago). I demand you deal with the crime I am reporting to you now!"
Would feel great that you'd sought help with an obvious problem and come with you to the local Gendarmery to take the matter further.
>FFS. leave the guy alone.
Bollocks to him. If he wants to be left alone, he ought to cease and desist from plastering what should to be his private affairs all over the wonderful, wobbly world of Twatter then.

He's said he'd rather be remembered for his work for animal rights than his music so that should tell you how he's evolved, yeah he likes to tour and keep his hand in with Kerry and one or two other projects but he has far more wide ranging interests than just music and at 72 I'd say he's earned the right to spend his time doing whatever he wants be it astronomy, animal rights, trying out being vegan, his work with NASA, stereoscopy and anything else that takes his fancy.
Also that's his own twitter/instagram and if he want's to share how he feels with the fans that's his prerogative, no one says you have to follow him or read what he writes, scroll's your friend if it doesn't interest you personally.

I didn't say it did. What's your point?
>so saying fill your days with meaningful things or make an album is pointless when depression has robbed you of your creativity and ability to do much more than drag yourself out of bed.
The problem with what you just wrote is that, had he been pursuing interests that were of real value to an audience he has created because if his unique talents as a guitarist and composer, the feedback would have been that much more instantaneous and rewarding than fighting battles that he appears to have less of a tenuous grasp on than some Swedish teenager does.
>As to forgetting QAL, that bit shows you understand even less about Brian and his depression, he's said many times that touring makes him feel alive and he sinks into depression when he gets off a tour so if he stopped altogether he'd feel even worse.
Refer to my previous paragraph. Had Brian spent time crafting and creating something new that he could tour with, something that generates a feeling of adequacy and representative of Brian as performer and writer, his feeling of self-worth would be that much greater than relying on past glories humped along by someone that in "C-lebrity", he openly despised.
Brian's created his own self-fulfilling prophecy I'm afraid and, plastering the (admittedly, very sad) results all over the internet is nothing short of pathetic. I hope he pulls through and that someone is able to inject a bit of a creative spark in to him, but it appears that ship is long sailed.
Still, there's a cracking new album by The Who which, by any standards, proves that creativity does not need to die as our heroes progress through to the end stages of their lives.

Clearly none of the above are doing him much good mentally, are they?

People get depression in spite of anything going on in their lives, it doesn't matter if you're rich or poor, love or hate your job etc you can still get depression, it's likely chemical with Brian since he's always been prone to it.
