I said it lacked the quality of other Queen albums BECAUSE when Freddie was left to his own devices, there were no other band members influencing the end result. I didn't refer to one track. I'm talking about the whole album. In places it's terrible - regardless of what Freddie thought of the finished product. It did not have any decision-making influences from the other band members and consequently fell well short of the usual Queen standard.

Absolutely right, to any real music fan Mr Bad Guy lacked so much. Some if it sounds like very good quality demos that could have been taken into a Queen session and made into good songs. Others, to me, are none starters.

What's even worse is that Freddie used a guitarist who on some of the material despite being competent sounds like a third rate Brian May, what was the point. It's obvious despite his brilliance Freddie needed people around him who could stand up to him and push him when needed.

The Barcelona album is better for that very reason, he wasn't the only person directing what went into the finished product

Liberace? YOu are thinking about Lamberace maybe. If you ahte Freddie why are you even here. You miserable sod still compare a Freddie solo album with Queen . Why? Mr Bad Guy was a good pop album as it is supposed to be. There was never the desire to release another milestone. Why should he. It was an outlet for popsongs he could not do with Queen.
