The first two tracks are pure bravado and bluster in the face of adversity . Then we go on to an optimistic song with The Miracle. They probably reflect true sentiments of Freddie’s at certain stages before the outlook became bleaker. That’s why i am reluctant to apply the same standards to them as actual songs, they are more of a statement. Plus we get a classic Queen segue between Party and Khasoggi. And an unusual ending .
They are unloved but theres definitely more in these than some of the other lesser tracks.

For me "Party & "Khasoggi" were below the standards that we expect Queen to be putting out.
To think Freddie said on that radio one interview "Queen for an hour" that there was loads of unfinished tracks that they had discarded but sad thing is
"Party & Khasoggi" made it on to the album, why not "I guess were falling out" as it was a better song and in the classic Queen style to "Its a Hard Life" ?

well "Party" was a jam that became a song. I suppose the band felt it was an effective "out of the blocks with a bang" track. There's some nice panning with the vocals and, some clever vocal harmonies. It's the band in upbeat mood, and in between Brian's noodling, there's two nice little solos.
"Khashoggi's Ship" does segue nicely, and is similar to, but better than (the Works') "Tear It Up"....with a little bit of Freddie improv during the bridge.
I wouldn't say either track Party or KS) are actually weak - which is why I put my original "weakest" in " "...acknowledging a general feeling among Queen fans.
I like both tracks and the Miracle as a whole.
Perhaps, the "many" unused tracks didn't appear because they were "more of the same"? The demos I've heard (kind of) fit a very similar typical Queen mood. Maybe the band wanted to take their sound a back to the 70s - while still sounding fresh. I think they did a good job.
One other thing: Many people don't like "Rain Must Fall". I do. There was another thread where Zep came in for their "copying" of others...well this was one I left off my "Queen Copycat List". The verse melody definitely sounds like a cross between a couple of one of my favourite soul songs:

Khashoggis is no where similar to Tear it Up and in my opinion Tear it Up is a much better Queen song hands down.
In fact The Works is a much better album than The Miracle. End off.

Freddie knew he had AIDS in '87. By the time they finished recording the Miracle, the band knew. A Tour - or even a single show - was never an option.
The "Everybody wants to tour except Freddie" was just a cover-up. Everybody knew what was happening.
Recording and finishing Innuendo was the real Miracle. At that time, it was hard to predict life expectancy while having HIV or AIDS.
Some people had months left after diagnose, others had years.

Yeah too right and Erasures Andy Bell has had Hiv for many many years and still here but medications have advanced especially a year after Freddie had died and sadly Fred missed the boat.
I knew that when Queen had initially recorded Queen for an hour the band would certainly have known Freddie's situation and protected him. They knew there was no more tours it was over.

That's a perfect example of your approach.
You think (believe) something that someone doesn't agree with. You're not capable of discussion so you state what you think as fact and claim the subject is closed. . . .
Well it ain't .
Khashoggi's ship has a strong drum pattern intro, like Tear It Up. It features quite substantial guitar work, like Tear It Up. The mood of the song is quite uplifting, like Tear it Up. . . Is it as good, mthats partly down to personal opinion. I think it's better. Production wise it certainly sounds better.
The Works album has a very toppy almost thin sound to a lot of the drums and guitar tracks. . . The Miracle has a better guitar sound and the drums are warmer.
The Works had some great singles on it, but as an album was it really that good?

I would suggest you read your post that I quoted, particularly the end of it.
As predicted your reply re enforces what I said, as usual you resort to name calling to hide the fact that you can't discuss anything in an educated way.
You also appear to still be suffering from your gender recognition problem.

It doesn't matter if it's your opinion (or not) - which just so happens (as always) to be wrong.
But, no matter - even if we were mind readers. Even if we somehow, from the unintelligible gibberish you've presented - knew the full stop was errant (which is usually case when you are involved with English grammar), you still fucked up mightily:
1. The sentence containing your "opinion" clearly ended with
Queen song hands down. <<< There's a full stop there, which means what follows is not part of the previous entry.
2. You began the next sentence with "In fact", implying that you were no longer stating an opinion.
3. Finally, you compound your errors further, by finishing a sentence with "End of" - this is a very clear inference that "there is nothing to add on a matter" - that's not an opinion, that's a diktat. - kind of applicable really - seeing as you're such an unapologetic dick!
You are absolute proof that trying school for one day only is not a workable plan.
