Hello folks, my question is
was there a planned tour for the miracle? And what was the album "another miracle" going to be about? (sorry for my basic English).

I saw a interview with MOJO on YT Queen were supposed to be booked for Rotterdam 1989. There were plans to get the band, but they plans were cancelled because the management of Queen could not continue because of Freddie's health.

I recall reading in Kerrang at the time that their were rumours of a gig at Alton Towers. They were also invited to the Nordoff Robbins charity gig at Knebworth in 1990 but declined

There may have been rumours, and there may have been invitations, but during the Radio 1 Interview "Queen for an hour", Freddie stated that he didn't want to tour. Obviously he knew he couldn't, but it wasn't being said at the time.

My guess is there was no plan for a tour, and anything leaked is little more than a rumour. The thing about playing small venues may have been something to try to entice Freddie before the band really understood the gravity of the situation before them - you can know something and not really know the impact it has right?

Freddie was able to preform live up until 1988.

I would rather Freddie did Queen gigs in 87 and 88 instead of the solo stuff.

From what I remember there were no plans to "tour" - there was an quote from Roger stating they had been looking intto do some one-off type special type gigs. How far they looked into it is unknown. It may have been Roger saying, "Hey Fred? We don't tour but we do wembley once." and Freddie saying "Nope."

We'll never know for sure.

Another Miracle was an idea for 1990 that would have collected all the non-album B-SIdes as well as the extended remixes, etc.

^essentially an E.P. for the happy years and to promote the notion they're back in the studio working on stuff.

But unless they've got Demos from that era it's probably nothing more than has been leaked.

I hope I'm absolutely wrong

and likely shorten his life by another year or two?
being on the road back then was not the "home comforts" thing it is these days.

Between december 87 and December 89 Freddie rapidly declined in health, it's perfectly possible they thought about doing a couple of live appearance at the start of the year which were increasingly getting more unlikely by the end.

They looked at doing a London based run of gigs, based aroun the album. I think they were going to call the shows The Miracle Pavilion.

I know that some rough stagingi ideas were drawn up, bare in mind that this is done a long time before proper stage plans are drawn and in no way meant that a tour was planned then cancelled.

Having said that some of the British press at the launch of the album were saying dates would be announced.

I think the only indication of live work did indeed come from Roger, which may have been genuin but also may have been Roger discounting any questions over Freddies health.

There was some scouting done for possible locations but it became quickly clear that it wasn't an option anymore for Freddie to tour.

Interesting about a 1989 tour. I wonder if anyone has any ideas about what a set list would look like?
