Your “opinions” aren’t that much different to anyone elses. It’s only your obnoxious delivery that’s different, There’s a high level of agreement that the singles and Was it All Worth It are the best songs on The Miracle. That’s almost unanimous, give or take some personal choices over one or two songs. The bottom four songs are therefore almost unanimously agreed on.
To argue these four songs are worse than the lesser songs on the preceding two albums is pretty pointless. All the albums in the 80s are a bit lop sided in favour of the singles.

Back to Party/Khashoggi's Ship being weak, and I think someone said they had elements of statement in them...
... As always we have to look at the social conditions of how the band were when an album was made, almost as much as the technical merits of the contents. It might well be that as statement/misdirection songs they earnt their place opening the album.
Personally I think Party is a weak opener, just as I thought Staying Power was a weak opener to Hot Space.
And Was It All Worth It has the distinction of being a great closer, as well as a statement.
You might also say, by the way, that Thank God It's Christmas was also a marker: The return of the band to good order? I'm not sure about this. Hence the "might". But I think it signalled SOMETHING.
