No worries, I can assure you my "asshole" is in a non raging state.
I really don't hold up much hope of getting my hands on the the reel, but I have an 8mm projector and screen at hand just in case it should it come my way!

A low gen VHS transfer is more likely to turn up at some point though.

Did you have any reference? If you didn't, that's really amazing dedication. Hats off.

What's even more amazing is that it might actually be from the wrong night.
I was in that line at The New London Theatre that starts @ 1:35

Your assurance means nothing.

Two years ago I called you out for the carrot dangler you are, and you still can't get over it.

The only reason you won't post that tape from 1980 is because your vendetta against me for stating the truth is larger than your desire to give it to the Queen community to enjoy. And you'll even taint the happiest thread on QZ in years because of it.

I can live without it, because it's just a tape. I sleep well at night. You clearly don't, because you and your butthurt ego are still going out of your way to initiate conflict with someone on the internet unprovoked. Well done.

Perhaps you are deviating from the thread because you are bitter and twisted, or just worried you might of got a date wrong.
Either way you should take your own advice and leave it at the door.

Jakelic, I downloaded your file and it's convinced me even more you could be right.
For clarification, can you time stamp the parts on your clip that supposedly don't match up with the March 2nd audio?

Millard and his taping buddies really were excellent, weren't they? Given his modest of rating of "fair", I wonder if he was basing this on the first minute or so? Because from the end of TYMD it's a fantastic capture.

I suspect you gemtleman have a dispute from the past which I don’t know about, nor want to get involved.

I enjoy this place because I can expand my queen collection and enjoy all the amazing meticulously collected data on this forum as well as queenlive.ca, queenconcerts.com, all the restaurations, yt channels etc. Being a “taker” and downloader, I also try to be a “giver” and share back and reupload stuff people request if I can.

Following all the hype with the amazing Millard tape, the 8mm sync just doesn’t look right to me. of course I can point out all the details that convinced me it is not the 3rd (like the tambourine bit or a few times Freddie sings off mic, while other times he holds the mic to his mouth but no singing is heard).
But it is when trying to sync the 2nd that you will see every move, every lipsync, every drum and cymbal kick just starts to fall in place.

With all the accuracy this community keeps to be true to Freddie’s legacy and be real Queen archivists, it has to be sure which date to use for this 8mm. If I am wrong about the date, please point out the problems in my edit and we can talk them out. But keep in mind the audio recording has some major speed problems that gave me a headache while syncing.

I hope we can do some detective work without private disputes.

A bit off topic, but I am also skeptical about 26-11-75 afternoon acetate, it sounds same as the evening tape :)

Wow, you already have moral disappointments and demands related to queenzone. It's a little bit early, don't you think?

Without private disputes this place will disappear in thin air, and a collection of boring to death "watch my ass passing by" comments like yours is not the substitute for genuine Queen love, who ultimately keeps this community alive.

The insignificant fact that you've noticed some insignificant things about insignificant subjects does not offer you the right to question the forum content from a superior viewpoint.

With respect, I can assure you my love for Queen is genuine and goes on for many years. For the gentlemen and ladies of this community and their work I have huge respect and am very glad and grateful it exists. I have no wish to impose any superior wiewpoint.
But this is the Millard tape topic, spamming is unnecessary. I think I have provided a good basis for a discussion and doubt about the 8mm dating.

The tapes don’t lie. We just have to see which one fits better. I mean no offense to anyone.

The joys of analog.

But I'd say it's the video's speed that's fluctuating, not the audio. Millard's fruits were were always flawless.

That bit in White Man I mentioned earlier clarifies that the footage (or at least that section) cannot be from March 2. The other syncing issues you mention may well just be tape speed issues.

Of course it's a nice romantic idea that the date with the better sounding audio should be the date that corresponds with the video, but indeed we should get it right.

I know this won't be probably very helpful, but did anybody check the outfits? Comparing the video from allegedly the 3rd with the photos allegedly from the 3rd, Roger's outfit doesn't match.
Check this photo : http://www.queenlive.ca/queen/live%20pics/77-03-03_Inglewood_17.jpg - in the footage when Freddie has this outfit on, (Now I'm Here), Roger has something "black" on him, in the photo he is naked. So either Roger got warm and was "topless" during the rocknroll medley (assuming Freddie didn't change his outfit again), or the photo(s) and the footage come from different nights.

Ignore aristide1. He is one of a half dozen or so trolls on this forum whom the world has wronged, and lashes out at pretty much anyone who isn't a troll. Don't explain yourself to him, as you owe him nothing. Your time is far too valuable.

Queenzone is pretty well an unmoderated forum, and thus the trolls pretty well rule this place. It only takes a few.

That photo is from the end of Liar. Watch the Uniondale video to see which part I mean.
