one of the few scenes in the movie that actually resembles reality
Do you have Tourette's for everything Queen related from the last 20 years that you don't personally agree with? It's almost as if your fingers are physically incapable of not typing out something negative at every given opportunity.
This is curiously similar behaviour to other characters on this forum. Hmm.

don't see you rushing to defend Elvis, Michael Jackson or others. weird that.
again, i believe you're not being completely honest here. ironic, considering your alleged "beef" is with lies.

Nice try there Brenski.......except in the movie there is a cringeworthy and tiresome scene where Freddie begs on his knees to be allowed back into queen. Now, that never happened, did it? Which makes it a lie. And it's a lie by any objective standard of what defines a lie and has nothing to do with Freddie Jupiter's glossary of terms, does it?
But that was a nice attempt at trying to deflect from the truth -- yet again. Unfortunately for you Brenski I can see through your dishonest tactics and can call you out on them every time, and for all to see.
If you had any remnant of integrity left you would have quit long ago and stopped making a fool of yourself - an intellectually
dishonest fool to boot.
By the way, I'm not Gerry or runner, so shut up.
it wasn't a lie. it's just unverified. we know this.
it may be a lie in yours and (other Freddie Stepford's minds) but you can't verify it's mendacity in much the same way I can't prove its accuracy. as someone else said - everything becomes a lie when it doesn't fit in with your skewed view of events. unfortunately, that isn't and never actually will be reality - regardless of how you cook it.
also, as i said - i unaware of any of the MJ or Elvis lies you've railed against. now stop talking sh*t.

Well I was actually going to comment on the article in the OP but what's the point? Yet again another thread ending up with petty, childish squabbling.
Fuck this place, no one would miss it if it disappeared from the net forever.

Who has ever claimed Freddie to be a saint. Nobody. The underlying feeling of critics of recent trends is that while Brian has been the main driver in raising Queen’s profile he has also repositioned himself within the bands history to his advantage. Maybe even subconsciously - to give him the benefit of the doubt. As far the portrayal of inter band dynamics in the movie goes its fair to assume that Brian is the single most important source the film makers had.
Back to the OP the music and performances in the film are great , and much like the We Will Rock You musical , the music seems undamaged by the horrendous vehicle it’s been given.

Not to really stir things up too much, but just going on a sort of scientfic basis...there are many moments in the film which we know for sure did not happen as they are depicted, so going on those, we might assume that some of the other scenes, which stretch the limits of believablity, are, as well, likely created for the fiction of the movie.
Not saying there's anything wrong with that, for a film, but some Queen fans (myself included) cringe at those moments.

You know this because you were there? Or people who were there told you all about it?

That alright with you, or do I need to seek your permission to express my feelings in the future?
Obviously not from me. But rather for the sake of public decency and not creating yet another thread that becomes a flame war. Why not try being the bigger person for once?
The world is full of things we don't like, and complaining about them for the umpteenth time on the internet (especially in an environment where just about nobody wants to hear it) isn't going to change a thing.
If you're so perplexed by such things beyond your control, why not put that energy to good use and choose a problem that actually has a chance of being solved?
