The only thing we officially ever got was from Brian in Days of Our Lives Docu when he was talking about The Works era: "There was a feeling that maybe that was it" When Brian and Roger took part in a TV show, one week after he had died, discussing and defending Freddie, Brian really took a stand. He was saying that Freddie was not consumed by drugs, that he didn't live a promiscuous life (even though Freddie admitted it himself, talking with David Wigg and we got the recording, we can listen to it ourselves), that he was a kind and generous man and highly respected those that he loved. It is not the same image that we can see in the movie. In the movie Freddie is clearly lost and all his "diva" presence and confidence that we see in the sections referring to the 70's is gone in those sections of the movie taking place in the 80's. Clearly he is presented as the bad guy and coming late to recording sessions (Hot Space era) and the only one leading the rock'n'roll life while BM and RT detest it. Both Peter Hince and Mack have stated that alcohol and drugs really were present during Hot Space era. None of these guys were a saint, ditto.

Even if queen did break up at one point, why the fuck would Freddie beg Brian to be allowed back into queen like a chastised employee of Brian's. Freddie wasn't Brian's employee, and if anything, in the event of a break up Freddie would have been the one who mobilised the troops back into action.

This is all bullshit. I can't believe how determined some
people are to swallow Brian's bullshit. It's outrageous.
