if we have a problem with this site being a repository of links...we could ask the posters to repost their links to the new forum.
anyhow, site is open now
Or do a whole lot of copying and pasting.
Rejoice ! But check your email first - I had a couple further ideas.
yep copy/paste is easy enough. anyone joining - who has upped links at QZ, we can send a gen PM asking them to repost their links
thanks for email - have replied. proboards (even though free provider) and fairly basic, are fast and do have some nice touches inlcuded.

Had a look, and the new forum looks good, it has far better options than here and has an easy to navigate format. One gripe, as it were, nothing major. Regarding the rule about selling, it says don't try to sell stuff. I wouldn't anyway, but it then says if you find something interesting, by all means refer to it - but it must be your own sale. If it's my own sale, I haven't "found" it, I already know about it. ANd if I refer to it, surely that's me trying to sell it? Maybe it could be scrapped or reworded.

Finally !!!!!
The problem with this board for eons, and especially the last couple of years, are.....well, we know who and what they are.
I know that Richard and YV didn't believe in censorship unless forced into a corner. The problem has been the 'reverse censorship'..... idiotic one trick ponies who hijack threads and go on and on about the same thing. The result: those who used to read and post informative material, or had knowledgeable opinions (whether we always agreed or not), quit coming here because of having to sort through all the BS.
I used to enjoy sharing a bit of history or knowledge or first hand experiences of concerts and the likes. Most of all, I learned from so many others.
The 'protections' given to the few, resulted in the masses abandoning Qzone. That's why I'll go weeks without checking in here, because it's the same old battlefield.
I hope the new board works. I'm already on board.

I’ve never been on QOL as a member .I used to take a look one or two times a year. Very likely of us are on QOL as well. People who don’t like QZ could simply join QOL, so why should there be a new forum?
The number one source of most Queen audio & video multimedia and bootleg downloads is Queenzone. This is an important part of the forum. On QOL that just doesn't exist and can't exist since it's an official forum.
Yes, and hopefully this can continue on the new site.

Okay, I understand that, but it doesn’t go wrong in de audiosections, does it? Only the serious discussion is poisoned...

I sent you a pm with some MEGA links to help you get started. It isn't much, but these are what I managed to back up all those years ago.

Mmm the new board seems very interesting! Could be great a close collaboration between the two forums just to move everything there. Tha main goals, for me, is just a light moderation and create a brand new database for the a/v recordings.
Torrent or mega (or any other filesharing site)? Or both?

Sorry for the double post. I intend to moderate the place. Myself and Martin (Brenski) won't stand for no shit there. Comply with the rules, or it's a warning and then do it again, you are out. We have to clamp down on Trolls and the like.

As I said in the new forum I am vary of using just any hosting site because there is always the danger of the board being shut down because of torrents or megatype links.
