----------------------------------------Robbie talentless prick Williams. ///
dude, the Robbie bashing is gettin really old, the guy is talented and original and writes his own stuff so shut ur piehole and The Darkness are good, but not quite brilliant, they're a hype, Robbie is around since 1991/1992(counting TT) and solo since '97. And always the link with Queen, why can't u people stop comparing every band who have a similar sound with Queen, it's gettin pretty pathetic really. And the attitude towards artists who want to pay a tribute to QUeen by covering a song or want to work with Bri or Rog?? wotz up with that people??? U should be happy people are still interested in Queen...u guys are just spoiled where would we be without the remaining members?? I'm very happy there are things like the Musical n stuff, keeps stuff fresh!

for me is a proof that you can sell bloody welll playing fucking great riffs... Of course they're taking the piss but the GUITARWORK is so cool!!! Was it 20-30 years ago...? Yes it was!!!1 So what???
I'm not a huge fan, I don't really care if they're going to do STL cover... I know one thing, though- you can sell bloody well and earn a lot of money without recording with Britney or 5ive... You can do it playing fun, cool, "old-fashioned" rock'n'roll... Wish therte was more bands like that... Wish that my fav band could realise it...

I think Justin's voice is good enough to get by, and i think Freddie would love it.
There must be more to life than this.

>>Not really sure how you can't stand SLT Dragon

*shrugs* It just grates on my nerves is all. I know a lot of people like it, but then I like quite a few songs that other people hate so it may as well work the other way.

As for the Darkness, some article I read the other day put it quite tidily thus:
"If Freddie Mercury and Queen are Roger Moore then the Darkness are Austin Powers." I don't think they're quite as blatantly a parody as AP, but that was a worthwhile observation I felt.

Personally, I think I'm over done! *flies out the window*

You never know..it might be good. Although I wasn't a fan of John 'I'm Retiring for the Last Time...seriously!' Farnham and his version of We Will Rock You.

Now if they'd've chosen me to do, well..I think Brian would be 3 cars short of a grenade.

I'd defnitely like to hear STL covered by The darkness...They mix so WELL together :
My 2nd FAV QUEEN SONG + My 2nd FAV BAND :)
that's enough about me, now, what do you think of me ?

It seems to me like The Darkness is doing to Queen the same thing that Oasis did to The Beatles.

The Darkness are very cool, not sure how well STL would suit them, but thats fine.

Other than the satsuits which weren't just Freddie's domaine, they are very dissimilar to Queen. Although having said that they put on an excellent live show and they have a good sense of tongue and cheek about them, much like Queen did.

HAving a good sense of humour doesn;t mean their music shouldn't be taken seriously.
can i go to lunch now?

i think that they just want attention and they are nothng like Queen it is a really good thought doing somebody to love again but get someone to sing it that has talent because they are taking all the the style and music type off Queen and that is not fair!! the darkness Sux

I don't understand why it's such a big deal if they do a remake of a Jefferson Airplane hit.
