I have to admit, Geeks, you have sparked my interest in your answers. I probably would read them for the curiosity and the knowledge of who he really was. I've only ever read one book on Freddie/Queen and that was Lesley-Ann Jones' book.
This kind of stuff is always going to be interesting and I'd love to understand him more than I do. Hear the funny stories and generally hear about what he thought.

Peace,
Adam.

I already own Freddie's diaries and will be publishing them on Queenzone just as soon as I have finished writing them.

Thinking that Freddie wrote the diary, he would want someone to read them. Just from my personal experience, I've always wrote my diaries in hope that someone would read them, and comfort me and my problem. So, I would read them. That way, I could know more about Freddie and the enviroment that he lived in.Then all of his fans could understand him better, and see a diffrent aspect to him, and his music. Although, that would all depend on what he wrote about. Although, I would seriously doubt that Freddie would have ever written a diary. So, I doubt Queen fans will ever have to worry about this event. I think we should enjoy what Freddie gave us willingly. His music.
Sorry for being so seriouse! ^^;

Here's another question:
What would you do if you found out the person that gave Freddie AIDS was still alive? ( Highly doubtful...)

If my own theory on this is correct, Gin, he's not.

But if he were, I'd leave him be. People really didn't know what was going on in the '80s. (S)he can't be blamed.

No I wouldn't read them, but yes, if I would be given a copy, or something like that, I would keep it. No tread it though, I'd feel really uncomfortable.

LOL!!! This already makes me laugh.

This made me laugh, for a wholly different reason.

But to answer the question, I wouldn't do anything.

To be frank, I would read it at once and I would not even feel guilty about it. As for Freddie, he is dead. It'd be another thing if he'd still be alive, and someone read his diaries. I'd hate it if someone read mine, I'd feel violated, true, but if I did not destroy them before dying - my bad. I anyway won't care much at that point. As for what someone else said here, it is true that very many write diaries having some hope that someday, someone will find them and understand and remember them. I write because of that, too - it's a paradox that I yet want to keep it a secret and don't wish for anyone but myself to read them. Complicated we are... :-)

However, I must admit that I would read any diary I'd come across, without thinking too much about it beforehand. There's just the curiousity and the wish to understand someone else's inner thoughts, problems and secrets. Of course, my moral tells me it is wrong, but yet I know that I'm very capable to violate someone's privacy like that. If I came across a good friend's diary, most probably I'd have a peek into it.

I'd read them. Just because I'd want to know him better.
But, yet, it's too private.

As long as they wouldn't include stories about his sexual life/fantasies, I'd be interested in reading them :D

Assuming the diaries did exist, I would imagine that they probably would contain such entries.

And for the record, I dont think I would read them.
