About a year ago, I remember some fellow by the name of a human body asking about Queen's unreleased songs, and a lot of you all joining forces to come up with a fairly comprehensive list. Thanks to YourValentine and Zeni, those of us lucky enough to have participated in the bootleg tree have some of these songs, but there are still a lot left unaccounted.

So I'm asking you, dear Queen fans, to compile another list, whether it's songs you have heard or have heard of existing, as it seems the old list has been deleted with the old board (actually, I'm guessing, as I'm too lazy to hit the search button, but I'm fairly certain it's gone).

I also seem to remember John S. Stuart posting a very interesting thing about the A Kind Of Magic sessions, where he named 'Heaven For Everyone' and 'Friends In Pain' as two songs recorded during those sessions. Perhaps, if it's not too much trouble for him, he could contribute some of his extensive knowledge to this list!

Thank you, all.

Here's John S. Stuart's post about the AKOM sessions. I also added a link at the bottom that should help you out. Formatting is a bit funky because I had it saved as a word file and it didn't hold up when I did the copy and paste.

Thank you Lester & Adam - Nice to see that I am still remembered! (And even quoted correctly!).

There is nothing new I can add to the above "A Kind Of Magic" listing - excepting - the official release of the "One Vision 12" extended video", and the other "Magic" related material on the recent DVD set, and a few "home piano & accoustic demos". (which I omited because I received so much flack about the last round of information I shared here).

Since then, I thought it was "agreed" it was "taboo" for me to talk about such "unreleased material" because, however altruistic my motives may be, it still upset a large group within this community (whom if I recall correctly accused me of being a "blag" and a "show-off").

Therefore it was quietly "decided" that I should not respond to this type of mail incase I either set off some sort of "collecting warfare" - or (worse-case scenario) delay the release of the proposed box-sets.

All I can say is that I hope it will all come out some day - and I also hope that it is sooner - than later.

Sorry if this seems to be a cop-out, but, I too have to adhere to the politics of Zone.

Well I can't help but to be disappointed, but I understand your reason JSS.

I presume that I was one of those people you were referring to. I hope I can set things straight about that John S.

I only gave you flack for your knowledge of the "supposed" musical hardware used for Queen's recordings. Remember? It wasn't only me that thought that was a weird thing to post. I remember it all too well, because your post was full of disinformation and you got really angry at that criticism. But a reply was needed to clear it up. Remember the 4-track thing??! lol

But that was the only prob I had. I would never criticise you on any other Queen related item.

Peace,
Adam.

Thanks Adam B.

No: I do not refer to "recording hardware" - I conceded then (as I do now) that what I said then was mistaken and incorrect. (But then again, I am neither a musician or a studio engineer!).

Rather, I refer to the above "A Kind Of Magic" unreleased tracks type of posting.

Peace be with you too!

I must say it's very exciting to know that they had Mini Discs way back in '86! woohoo

Would it be possible for me to privately e-mail you about this information? I find this absolutely fascinating and hardly care what you have and what I don't.

Regarding songs of the Magic era, the notes in the Freddie box set mentioned that Queen revisited Love Makin' Love during the Magic sessions. Has anyone ever heard anything about this? To me, this would undoubtedly be one of the highlights of a possible box set, because I simply adore the version on the Freddie collection.

I'm on the side of Lester, in not caring what I have as far as unreleased songs, so if some kind of e-mail arrangement is reached I'd be interested as well.

Lester, Chaka, read JSS post again, but very carefully now.....

Brother Of Mine is from the Miracle sessions.

Dear John S Stuart

To be honest if I were you I really wouldn't be too bothered about a few folk here being rather upset about your knowledge and collection, In my view this forum is the IDEAL place for someone like you to help others answer genuine questions, for once we can have a real discussion about the music, instead of topics about 'was Freddie really gay'

Keep em coming, it's always very informative.

You took the words right out of my mouth. This Zone pissed off many of the most knowledgable people on here in the last two years.
If you would like to keep on sharing your information, I'm sure it's much appreciated.
