Some you can, some you can't...
Wit for the box sets, it's really fascinating. I've been doing it for years!

Mr Stuart and the other collectors here,

Do you think there are some demos from the Made In Heaven sessions? I'm not only talking about the original demo tapes they used to record the album afterwards. I'm talking about the new demo tracks recorded from 1993 to 1995. I think some of the tracks were played differently until they found the way the final versions should sound (Brian talked about recording I Was Born To Love You and the time it took).

Please remember Roger and John started in 1993 while Brian was still on tour, after that, Brian said the work should get started again.

And do you think those 1993-95 demos will be considered real demos to be included in the box-set?

Thanks

Hey, one more question. Do you know a site where I can find lyrics to all of the unreleased songs ( I mean b-sides etc, not other versions of album songs). And do you know where can someone like me, who has NO unreleased stuff get some of these? I have only studio albums and 1 tour dvd, and I know that most of you have much more. You had to get it somehow, so please tell me how :).

My understanding is that there is enough material to make the studio l.p.s into "double c.d. sets" because of enough material. I hope that one of those discs will have all the audio material on 5.1 as a dual disc like Sony are doing for their artists. This way they could also include film of either unreleased interviews or released interviews or what have you and whatever else on film that doesn't fit on a hits collection. Perhaps alternate versions of their short promotional films (music videos), making ofs of them, and whatever else. Live performances on film could be saved for live c.d./d.v.d dual disc releases.

Otherwise further material could be released in the box sets. Again the catelog of studio c.d.s will need to be re-released first this way so that the boxsets will have complete information and so that the catelog will have some time (a few years) to sell before these massive box sets are released. Each of the boxsets should have a few years in between each of their releases as well so that they too will have time to sell well. Remember the Freddie Mercury box set (which was so big that it was not even released in the U.S.) "The Solo Collection" went out of print within a year of its release. I don't think we want that to happen to these box set releases or for the actual catelog either! As John Deacon (or whoever it was) said recently that (aside from probably most stores that sell just music) they are having a hard time now getting any of their c.d.s on the shelves anyway as it is just compilations of their hits that are all that are selling right now at least in the U.S.

In Portugal it`s easy to find any of the Queen albums or DVD.

Take care

hey, some time ago in this thread somebody said that Bohemian Rhapsody more than 7 minutes long is just a rumor. Well on my e-mule there is 7:09 and 7:12 version. Is one of these the one you were talking about? If it is, I think I should download, what do you think?

Download them, but don't expect to hear Bohemian Rhapsody.

What about "Woe" why can't I find much info on it? I see a rumor that it was mentioned in a magazine previewing A Day at the races tracks and Brian May said something about guyitar overdubs getting ridculous. I would really love to hear this song. Who sings lead? How finished was it? If they do take some Freddie vocals I think an unrelkeased song from that era would have more hit potential in the USA.

Sorry, what have i read here? The "politics" of the Zone??

John S Stuart - we haven't "talked" before between posts but I have to say, and I must be blunt: see those people who don't like you posting your information? fuck 'em.

Tell you how to get round it. Give your lists to Richard, and let him post them on a separate section.

I don't think I've ever heard anything more ridiculous. John, you wanna share the info? Go ahead. It's the internet. You'll soon shake off the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune thrown at you by disgruntled and jealous members. Wankers.

Go on, my son. Those of us who don't live under George Bush and still have free will, will decide whether or not to read them...

Apologies for my bluntness, but that, and the violence, are the price one pays for being from Northern Ireland....

I came across an Argentinian Queen fan forum where someone mentions (among other stuff) an unreleased completed ANATO outtake titled "Giraffe Song".

http://www.argenqueen.com.ar/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=3017&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Having read all QZ topics containing JSS's knowledge on what does exist and what not it strikes me as curious that nothing has been discussed of "Giraffe Song". Could anyone please explain?

Sorry if you mail was lost, but I never read beyond the latest updates. (those are the red folder files - rather than yellow folder files).

If your original mail was buried somewhere on page 3, then obviously I did not see it.

The best way to re-kindle a thread is to re-post a fresh mail - or deliberately bump. Waiting, it seems, is not a good idea!

Personally, I have never heard of either 'Woe' or 'The Giraffe Song'. I would think both are very unlikely as 'ANATO' was a very long and expensive album to make. In fact, home demos like '39' and 'Good Company' were worked on BEFORE taking into the studio.

Under those conditions and pressures, I find it hard to believe that they would have expended any energies on tracks which were anything other than destined released versions.

Unfortunately, for whatever twisted reason, there are those out there who love to invent such rumours - and before long, these rumours are accepted as fact. One of the things I have tried to do here, is keep the record straight and dismiss such rubbish for what it is.

You will also find other serious collectors with the same attitude, so I find it strange that this title appears on a solitary internet site.

This does NOT mean that I can say this track does NOT exist with 100%, surity, but it does mean that after all we know, I am 99% sure, this site is either mistaken, or deliberately misleading.

Thank you kindly for the reply. As I said, my post on 27/12/05 did bring this thread to the top, as naturally expected. I would have imagined that any new post (even a meaningless one) on a topic such as "Unreleased Songs" - the Holy Grail for any Queen collector/fan/etc. - would have raised an eyebrow, but for whatever reason it was overlooked.

Again, thank you for setting the record straight.
