I'll do whatever I want with items which I've paid for. The only thing I won't do is profit from someone else's work. That would be wrong. Until the "industry" and pigheaded artists, and lawmakers catch up to my logical policies regearding such matters, I wish them the best of luck as they continue to lose customers by threatening them.

Well, Mr. Great Buns is right, you can bring the Milton Keynes concert to your car, your jogging route, or wherever portability is required.

My God, that's a disturbing photograph ...

Now I understand ...

If my car has a DVD player, I am an upstanding citizen. However, if my car has only a CD player and I copy my legally purchased DVD to CD in order to play in my car, I am nothing but a parasite and a common criminal ...

It makes sense, dunnit? And apparently that means we're all susceptible to random searches for illegal Queen material.
"What? All that shit again??"
I hate that holier-than-thou-CD-ripping-is-evil shit.
Holland is a country with a big sense for freedom but when it comes to "illegal" CD copying and ripping, I think they're often going to big extremes (just like Scandinavia).

Don't tell me that if I legally purchase a DVD, I can't rip it to my harddisk? Or rip the audio part and burn it? I can't believe this could be illegal. If you buy CD's, you can make a compilation CD-R from them too. Why couldn't I make such a "compilation" from the audio tracks from my legal DVD?

I will be buying the DVD first but I will buy the CD a few weeks later, because I believe the audio on the CD will be higher quality than the DVD, after all isnt the audio on the DVD compressed ? I think they use MP3 on DVDs.

Yes and no. I suspect the PCM audio on the DVD will be the same stereo mix used on the CDs. And CDs are PCM too, so there you go.
