Not true, since it was aired on the BBC and several other TV stations. Recording TV-shows is not illegal. Same goes for a mp3 rip of your DVD, since this one varies from your CD (i.e. it lacks the gap between disk 1 & 2)
Oh for heaven's sake people.. do whatever the hell you want with your stuff. As long as you're not selling copies you aren't going to get into trouble. I think the world has bigger issues to deal with right now rather than worrying about what someone is doing with something they paid for and own.
I don't give a shit what ANY law says, if you've purchased something you own it for your own private use and can do what you want with it. If the law doesn't agree, fucking fight them in court about it and you'll surely win.

Well, if copying to casette is OK, then DVD to CD-RW is the same. You only make a copy to listen to this music in your car, and in both cases you pay for the music.
I don't think the CD release of Milton keynes is worth to buy because it's edited. Most pauses between the songs are shorter than on the DVD and also Freddie's famous speech before Staying Power is cut. Best thing to do is just rip the audio track from the DVD and burn it on an audio CD. Really no problem if you are just using it for own use.

Why the hell didn't they release Live Aid on CD too? I still dont have the DVD, since I don't have a DVD player and I would LOVE to listen to it in my car and at home on CD, EVEN if I had a DVD player. Sheesh!
I really don't think it's a good idea to buy ANY Queen records anymore until they've all passed away cos' you just KNOW they're gonna re-release it again in 5.1, only to turn around and re-package the ORIGINAL CD with a bonus disc and then ANOTHER bonus disc with the surround sound version (same bonus material of course, but with an extra minute and a half of rare footage). Then there's the future Japanesse versions (in both jewel and cardboard sleeve mind)to consider.
...and don't even start me on the blu-ray editions....
