RIEN...okay then, now this is more like the Rien i met in London. It is SO easy to throw with dirt. I am NOT like that, but when attacked i react fiercely.
I am proud of all i have done , seen and achieved. But i do not expose and display that on my own site, although i could probably make a very beautiful one, that would take a year toi see and read in total. I know i am a good fan, a good person and very direct. Everything i have done was on my own expence and input and effort. I know that there are many people who only know me from hearsay gossip and so...very few people i have invited in my house, and i became very vareful with getting people to witness my enormous collection. It is truly a Queenfans walhalla. I did give tea-parties in the past, but when the people left i was always missing things from my collection, and i stopped that. Later i would see my items being set sale on queenmeetings....the people trying to avoid to look me in my eyes....ask Rinus, he has been stolen from by so called fans so often....
That is why i am a loner....and keep my distance. People say then that i am arrogant...??

Nobody really knows me, where i come from, what i did and do and why....but jealousy , envy, and not knowing me makes things worse...i have been falsely accused of things i didn't do so many times...and i am just sick and tired of defending myself all the time...but i will still not let it happen...i can't stand injustice.
Brian knows i will be around. yes. brian knows my critics and i can imagine he is hurt, that he couldn't please a longterm fan like me, and i know he will want to get me happy too.....he is stilkl a perfectionist. If he listens to what i write, a miracle could happen if the band takes it to heart and adjusts a few things here and there. Brian knows i have great knowledge about Queen and am a loyal enthousiast fan with a great collection. We have met 30 times or so, and at many times it was afterparty and backstage...i sent him films of all that and he is appreciative of that. He has always remained correct to me, even if i pissed him off or made him angry...in the end he always came back, got the right story and okayed me again. In London, in Munich, and yes...also in Brixton.
So...lets stop this chit chat, lets look forward. Light a candle and pray that brian will take Queen Back to the Light again....
lifelong loyal and dedicated Queenfan.

Finally got back from a long stay in London, and around to posting here

I'll just make it 'brief'... the gig was of course excellent, with many great moments And it was the first time I'd seen any of them, so you can imagine I'd been waiting for the moment for a long time! I was standing pretty much in the middle, and about 8-9 rows from the front (Mr. Scully... where you behind me in the 'QueenConcerts.com' t-shirt?!) - so a pretty decent view.

The 'Track 13' intro was excruciatingly (sp?) long, and the lady in front of me "Where's John Deacon?!?!!!" didn't help matters lol! The Eminem intro was interesting, particuarly since I read Brian's quote earlier in the day mentioning the lyrics - a nice touch. When Paul Rodgers emerged initially on his own, I think a few people were left slightly confused... but the 'Reaching Out' intro worked beautifuly in my opinion, with Brian appearing at the end and before getting straight into a thunderous 'Tie Your Mother Down' with the curtain dropping to reveal the rest of the band! People seemed to push forward at this point, and with a rail in front of me, I couldn't go much further lol!

In particular for me, I was VERY impressed with Roger - not only was he looking great, he was hitting the drums with force and energy that hadn't probably been seen in years! I told my Dad, who was with me, that I hope they play "I'm In Love With My Car"... well, not only did they, but Roger played it while drumming - something he hasn't done for a few years, and played it just as well.

The only parts that I felt were a bit 'flat', were Paul's acoustic intro to 'Crazy Little Thing' and 'A Kind Of Magic'... it just seemed a bit 'hollow' to me. And yes, slightly dissapointingly, the setlist was quite 'safe' with no real suprises. With so many songs between them, it's hard what to leave in a keep out... but I hope they include at least 'Innuendo' when they return to the UK. I think as they grow more confident, they'll add more material etc. Oh, and the video 'hand clapping' graphics for 'Radio Ga Ga' should go... this isn't the musical you know

'Bo Rhap' featured Freddie on the video screen (footage from Wembley '86) and was very touching. You could see the emotion on Brian and Roger's faces as they played their parts before the opera section. I notable felt quite moved when Brian played the first solo - the image of Freddie on screen playing the piano with Brian's solo was very touching. Paul singing the 'rock' section worked very well I thought, and brought a great new dimention when singing the line "nothing really matters..."... very nice.

'Hammer To Fall' through me off, as the opening chords sounded very much like 'It's Late' It wasn't until Brian started singing until I obviously realised what it was lol! Now don't have a go at me, I am familar with the slow version ha!

To sum it up - a great gig, with great musicians and great crowd. Not perfect, but you can see the immense potential this has, and can only grow stronger. And it was just the warm up! I can't wait until they get to Birmingham - no doubt a well oiled machine (and hopefully a few setlist changes)!

OOh, only had time to grab a programme... some nice big pictures of them in the rehearsal studio but sadly no text. Perhaps they'll issue a different version as the tour progresses (with live shots?)? I'd like to get a t-shirt, though I'll have to wait a bit longer if QO.com arn't selling them... grr.

You must have been right next to me Darren. I was in a blue T-shirt. Mainly scanning the horizons for fit women - then gave up!

What's a "fit woman", eggy? :)
You must have been right behind me, Darren.
I do not want any google ads here.
D
eggy - did I talk to you about our fondness of 'Track 13'?!

UV - I think I was directly in front of Mr. Scully (if that was him wearing the black t-shirt with 'www.queenconcerts.com' on it lol!). He was talking about how he hoped his minidisk player would hold out all night lol! Were you with him?

I was wearing a white, long sleeve shirt and blue trousers.

I think saw Rien walking down the the LONG que past me too.
