For what it's worth - yes Queen as we knew them died in 1991. Did we all boycott the tribute concert? No - we wanted to hear the music again.Why else do tribute bands exist and sell so many tickets? Brian and Roger have every right to tour - just as John has every right to sit at home.We as fans have the right to object or to accept that we are never going to see Freddie again on this earth. As musicians it must have been so frustrating for both Brian and Roger to sit on their asses for so long and do sweet FA. I don't personally agree with them using the name Queen as only 50% of the band is on tour - but they have to use a name the fans and not so die hards will recognise. Perhaps if they had called the tour Taylor-May'd there would not have been so many objections!!!

Stop fucking around with this matter please!!!As you love Queen, you will make your children listen to it, and your children will do with their children too,etc. But they are going to listen to Queen with Frederic Bulsara ladies and gentlemen, yes with Freddie Mercury, the only one!!!. And don´t worry about what image is giving Queen these days,the person who had never listened to Queen before this tour came across with our lives, sucks!! So take it easy!! We know who they were and we are happy about that.

I'll say just one more thing. Many other bands have changed their line up's.....so what's the big deal! Freddie may have been irreplaceable in most people's eyes but he's gone so f****** live with it and accept it!
BTW, I hate people saying it was Freddie's band and his alone....complete bollocks!!! Brian & Roger were founder members with Smile. John was also a contributor with some of the most meaningful and memorable anthems.
Most of my favourite songs are written by Roger & Brian e.g Show Must Go On & These Are The Days Of Our Lives from Innuendo so it's pure ignorance/small mindedness or media brainwashing to think that Freddie was Queen! Freddie said many times that he was never leader of the band so there you have it!!

I'm one of the biggest supporters of this tour. I'm myself going to see 7 gigs. And I posted it sooooo many times... Seen one concert already (Brixton) and it was brilliant (even though A BIT sloppy at times). Now seriously- was it that difficult to see that it wasn't serious when I wrote about Rodgers' teeth being straight and how disrespectful this is...? Just shows what kind of crap had been posted already by all the nay-sayers if something like that wasn't taken as a joke. It shows one more thing- ppl don't read the whole thread- only the first post. Now I already said I'm one of the biggest supporters of this tour. But I'm sure there are going to be post underneath this one still saying- Fenderek, I agree with you, great post or "man, you are pathetic". What is scary is the fact that such a ridiculous and completely insane post, not making any sense whatsoever had anyone agreeing with it. As I said- funny and scarry. I agree 100% with Fenderek!!! I'm still a Queen fan, a real one and now aged 42 I still shake of emotion when I listen to You take my breath away But, it's not the same Band!!! Queen was the hottest ticket back in 1980's and where has the magic gone??? The actual musical performance is a disaster: long songs, poor voices, everything is made for Brian and Roger, I thought it was a band named Queen and not a 2-man group. Poor other musicians who hardly get some lightshow at the end... Oh dears, by the way I kust checked the setlist of the 47 Queen concerts I've seen in the past and there were at least 10 Freddie's songs every night... How many do we have under the new line-up? Apart from the celestial voice of our dear F.M., Queen was first and foremost Queen because of the superior songwriter talent of M. Bulsara not of BM or RT's.
Enjoy it if you like, this is the free world... But the three concerts I've seen in 2005 (see that I wanted to give them a chance before criticizing) were disappointing; not a band but 2 guys trying to relive on our expenses days of a forever gone glory. Hypertrofied egoes, bombastic performance; definitely a band from the past.
Fortunately, we still have the records and that's the most important thing.
