I agree, I fucking hate Coldplay, the most boring band in the history of music. Jesus, have you heard their songs, they all sound the same. That guys voice just makes me wanna either fall alseep or self harm. How do people like that get record deals? AGED pomp rockers Queen have launched an extraordinary attack on Glasto headliners Coldplay.
Chris Martin and company have the festival's top slot - the closing set on the Pyramid stage tonight. [Saturday]
But Queen's poodle-haired guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor are far from impessed by them.
Chris Martin, 28, Guy Berryman, Will Champion and Johnny Buckland, all 27, were kept off the top spot earlier this month by a cretinous green amphibian. And Roger has made the astounding comment he is more a fan of brainless novelty ring tone records than Coldplay's intelligent, anthemic, grown-up adult rock.
He said of the Crazy Frog: ''I actually prefer it to the Coldplay record.''
I know Taylor has been away from the music scene for quite a while and Queen's heyday passed some 20 years ago, but there's no need for those kind of sour grapes.
Speaking to Virgin Radio Taylor, 55, even went on to make the frankly absurd comment that all Coldplay songs sond the same.
He said: ''All they do just sounds too similar.''
Queen are in the middle of a world-wide tour.
Freddie Mercury's role has been taken by former Free singer Paul Rodgers, 55. They play Hyde Park on July 8.

There was good news for The Darkness though. They are in the studio with Queen producer Roy Thomas Baker and May, 57, has a soft spot for them.
But old Rog really needs his brain re-wired if he thinks having a pop at Britain's best-loved band is sensible.
I for one know who I'd prefer seeing otnight in a muddy field in Somerset - and it certainly isn't Queen.

I totally agree with you on that one, Amanda.
I don't like Coldplay, and I think in someway Roger is right about them playing the same thing. Yet, they praise 'The Darkness' which is even worse than 'Coldplay'. The difference really is that Coldplay is not kissing their asses.
The Foos might be highly influenced by Queen, but there's not one single song of theirs that sound like Queen.
