ROTC Limps into the UK album chart at No 12

I'm afraid your wrong. Paul Rodgers cannot sing to save his life nor can Roger or Brian for that matter and to call the CD ROTC is as obsurd as Brian and Roger calling themselves Queen +

Even I have said before that I think there are people better suited to singing the Queen catalog than Paul, But to say that he CAN'T sing or that this CD is bad is the REAL ABSURDity.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. This is a perfectly adequate souvenir of one of the summer's best shows. For this "hybrid" to break in at number 12, from half a band that hasn't done any original material for over ten years is astounding.

From what little I've seen of his posts, this "Bryan's Permed Poodle" is very fond of starting a scurrilous post, then darting off, never to reply or substaniate his arguments.

I'm quite annoyed at myself for even reading it, never mind replying.

I wouldn't call #12 a very good chart position. One thing to consider about that now aswell is that the number of sales will be down by a hell of a lot from what you used to need to get in the top ten as well.

Also, could it be that as it's a double album compared to the other albums being single albums that it cost more than those so people aren't buying it yet? I would be worried though if they bought Daniel O'Donnell instead, because of this.

Maybes the crap cover put people off buying it? But then that's a whole different arguement to start again isn't it.

Funny enough I thought Poodle doesnt like ROTC but he/she seem to be going on about it and keeping a eye on where they are in chart so if you dont like it then why dont you forget about ROTC and stick to your greatest hit 1 but no you are still ranting about it LOL

Just wanted to remind you that NONE of Queen's live albums have ever reached #1 in UK. Not even in their heydays when that guy with the moustache was still around.

There is no point reasoning or arguing with BPP, as he is very stuck in his ways. I respect that he has an opinion but to be ignorant and say Paul Rodgers, Brian May or Roger Taylor has no voice, then I really cannot take anything this guy say seriously.

I was very fortunate enough to see the Tour at Cardiff International Arena and Hyde Park. The concerts were excellent and I hope these see the light of day via CD and DVD. Now I purchased the CD of the Sheffield concert on the day it was released. Now I was told this was a weak concert on the Tour but believe me, it is not.

If BPP was not so far up his own arse and actually listened to the CD, he would understand that this is still the music of Queen! When Paul Rodgers is not singing and it is just the music, you know it is the sound of Queen! As for Paul Rodgers not being able to sing, well, like I said, it is pointless to argue with BPP, because where as I could appreciate if you did not like his voice, due to personal taste etc... Then fair enough but to be so blind and say he cannot sing, then you are a person who cannot be reasoned with, as you do not have the intelligence or maturity to have a discussion with.

Listen to the CD and you will hear exactly how good his voice is and the same goes for Mr. May and especially Mr. Taylor. To hear Roger sing and play the drums at his age, you would think he would be terrible but if anything, he is like a fine wine and has got better with age.

When Brian May is just about to sing 'Love Of My Life' and then dedicates it to Freddie's mother, who is in the audience, you can really feel and sense the emotion and it really sums the concert and Tour up!

All I will say, is that it is pointless arguing but buy, borrow or steal the CD BPP (don't worry, you don't have to tell us if you will/have) and give it a listen. What harm is it going to do? It will be better than listening to anything like Mcfly or Busted! At least then you will be able to give a fairer argument!

Well entering the UK charts at number 12 is ok, but if it doesn't peak in the top 10 then it'll be a bit of a disappointment.

The amount of crap music out there today should really see this album do well.

Lots of people are gonna wait for the DVD to come out I think... So let's judge the DVD instead of the CD.
