"Queen" to peform live on American Idol

yes, most of us have acted in hypocritical way at one point or another...
IMO we still deserve criticism for that.

(most of us do stupid things, doesn't mean stupid behavior shouldn't be denounced. etc etc.)

It also doesn't mean the guy shouldn't be given a break for doing nothing worse than what everyone else does - occasionally change their mind, for whatever reason. Appearing on AI is far from the worst thing the Queen name has ever been attached to.

The "Medley" sounded really good.....

there's nothing wrong with changing one's mind. but when you publicly and regulrly rant against 'reality-tv', make fun of 'american idol' in your musical, when your distaste for that kind of program is so strong that it becomes a sort of campaign theme (and what is the message of WWRY if not an attack against mnufctured pop?), when you've complained about people being motivated by Money and the 'evils of capitalism'... then don't expect people to remain silent if you go and perform in the very show you said you disliked.

Could care less really, It gave me something to watch and what is normally a boring ass tuesday night.
Glad more American's could see that min and half thing they(clips and stuff) said at the start about Queen.
Who cares if they sold out, every band sells out the day it makes $$ from any Music they make.

I wouldn't be surprised that if his back is messed up enough (even after chiro), he might have needed that day off to rest - or not move - or whatever.

Or perhaps the combination of fatigue, bad back, enduring of insults, etc., was more than they wanted to deal with. I suspect we'll know more shortly. Brian won't hold back forever on what triggered the decision.

Well that was a waste of an hour. I wish Seacrest could have mentioned that Brian May was unable to perform at the beginning of the show, so I could go watch LOST instead. While it was disappointing, after watching an interview with David Gilmour earlier in the evening, I'm glad they bailed. Better to age gracefully.

I was surprised to not see them on AI Wednesday...and thought perhaps i had been misled into thinking that they were actually slated to perform.

Yeah, i was disspointed..but i know Brian has been in some pain lately and i can see now why they were not on.

It's probably better that they were'nt.....i mean. AI is utter tripe ( how anyone can watch this crap on a weekly basis is beyond me honestly) and i'm sure we all agree that AI is not worthy of being graced with their presence!

I`ve watched it now and I wont mention name, but some of these "idols" really sucked.
The one guy that really impressed me was Chris. Damn that guy can really sing. I was just annoyed by the "vibrator", was too much of that. ( Don`t Paula know the reason why they didn`t perform Innuendo live, or was she thinking of Queen+PR???)
Beside him, Kellie and Taylor was quite ok.
