Freddie VS. Brian - "Too Much Love Will Kill You" - ??

Just curious what everyone thinks about Fred's version (Album: Made in Heaven) compared to Brian's (Album: Back to the Light)? Whose version do you like better?

Didn't we just talk about this last weekend?

I think i like Freddie's version better. Strong voice, better music...he handles it very well. Brian does a good job...but it seems as though he has a hard time singing this song because his voice was full of pain. He exaggerated a little bit too much. Dont get me wrong, I love Brian's singing. Its just, when Freddie sang it, he had no trouble with it. Brian, on the other hand, did. I dunno, what you guys think, but i think Brian showed a little bit of the weakness in his voice in this song.

Now that i think of it...the song is supposed to be about how painful it is to have too much love. lol. well, in this case, Brian shows a lot of emotion. Freddie, however, makes the song have a different theme. Am i making sense?

lets see.a vocal from perhaps the greatest singer in rock history or a vocal from a secondaty singer who seems to have who struggles with each note.hmmmmmmmmm...

well when hear freddie sing it i think of what he was going through during the time of him with aids and the song suites him to the tea. when brian sings it, i think when brian sings it, it is pain for the loss of freddie or his love loss of lovers in the past. that what i think. i love them both singing it. brian sings it and it makes me cry and when freddie sings it. it also make me cry.

If it makes any sense, I like Brian singing the verses and Freddie singing the chorus

I like both versions,honestly. Their voices are quite different - Freddie's voice is more charismatic,whilst Brian's is a bit softer;)

Same for "I used to bring you sunshine, Now all I ever do is bring you down."

Brians version. I dont like the electric guitar on Freddies version.

Brian's version I think. Freddie's singing is above-and-beyond Brian's I think, but it's overpowered for a song like this where the message is supposed to be vulnerable and all that.
