Music is an art, it is about expressing yourself in lyrics. I mean some could be alright if the words were actually clever, even though I probably would still not really care for it, but at least I could respect it. They need to write more meaningful lyrics instead of all that crap about "doin' hoes" and shit like that. Its just garbage and its corrupting youth. I see it everyday. Theres a kid in my class who tried to feel up a nun. Nothing is sacred anymore, nothing.

I hate most rap.. but deffinately not all of it.. I hate snoop dog, and Pharrell and jerks like that, but Eminem is cool, I think... He raps in a different way, where you can actually here hat he says.

There's a difference between R&B and Rap. There is no artistic merit in Rap music. Some would say it's poetry, but I think it's horse poo.
R&B has artistic merit. There are various singers and songwriters and musicians that know there stuff. But like most music of today it's mostly crap, it's never going to compare with the 60's and 70's.
Pharrell, like him or not, is a trained musician and a good producer.

Now you can't hear an R&B song without having a rapper featured on the fuckin' song.
If you want to listen some really good R&B pick some stuff by Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and other classic Motown artists. For a more modern version of R&B try Sade or Simply Red.

I like some rap and the postive ones about peace and changing lives for the better...not the negative ones they only care about making money not the youth. Rap is like any other music....some is good and some is bad.
