what seems to happen is when a serious relevent point is made regarding queen it soon spirals downhill to the point that anything that was meaningful to start with vanishes into a pointless tirade of personal insults and then the persons involved wonder why people like yourself with the relevent information that is useful to the queen community are reluctant to divulge anything to the detriment of them.its all very sad.

I have asked Richard Orchard why he permits his site to be so thoroughly, unnecessarily and avoidably abused, and brought down to a base, crass level, by certain plebs, so often, when it could be policed better, for the betterment of all.
I always get a half hearted but respectful response, but to be frank I think it's a cop out.
I understand RO doesn't want to stifle freedom of speech, or risk any kind of facist cencorship accusations, but even so QZ has been allowed to deteriorate to the level of absolute and unquestionable BASSNESS far too often. These people are allowed to do anything they like. God knows why.
People are permitted, for example, to liken QZ-ers to rapists, to suggest that certain people are doused in fire and set alight, that certain people be set upon at conventions, beaten with bassball bats, and be left for dead. I've seen all of this and tons and tons and tons more like it - aimed at me, and so many others.
People call other people "FU**ING C***TS" "MOTHER F***ERS, etc etc, and it stays up on the thread for ALL to read, including youngsters, and that is not right in my book. I'm no prude or do-gooder, I just hate ass holes riding rough-shot while more intelligent people who know better, and whom could do more, do nothing because it's clearly easier.
I see, and participate in HG Wells sites, other Queen sites, wildlife sites, even a snooker site, and while tempers can get heated their too, NEVER do the 'monitors' allow really nasty and gratuitous vile stuff to make the forum. Or if it does, it's removed asap. It's a matter of taste and good sense, not stifling of human rights.

Anyway... long story short. QZ would enjoy a much better press by certain people, and its reputation would be far more professional, for want of a better word, and taken seriously, if all the morons were simply not allowed to use QZ to be outrageously nasty or offensive or to incite violence, or even to elude to it.
Let people have their say, express their opinion, right or wrong, let them shout and rant, like I do, but it cannot be right... the obscene nastiness (that word again, but it's apt) too often makes the threads on QZ.
I see SO MANY QZ-ers commenting that they hate the fact that other QZ-ers seem intent upon bringing the tone down, and screwing it up for the serious ones. So why are they tolerated?
Would you let such people destroy a restaurant you frequented? Or to screw up your social club and its events? To abuse the people who use it - old and young and impressionable? Would you let people into your home or place of work who had such little respect, or whom are just nasty trouble makers? No. You wouldn't. But ANYONE is allowed into QZ doors. It's a free-for-all for every spiteful, mad, malicious, juvenile, puerile, attention-seeking imbecile in the world.
QOL is not riddled with even 10% of the 'wreckers' you have here. I can't understand why you all let these ass holes drive serious people away to other sites.
I've said all this before. Do I care if your site dies a slow death as the trouble makers move in, and the serious fans move out? not really - if i'm honest. But I do find it crazy and annoying while I am around.

I'm actually interested, Greg. No sarcasm or anything there. As a matter of fact, considering I've already written a Queen book, I'm hoping to branch into something a little "easier" than a research book. They DO take a load of time, and a novel or something along those lines isn't quite as taxing as long as your creativity allows your mind to run wild.
